sunbathing

I know it's bad for my skin, but without having some nice sunshine on me, it just doesn't feel like summer to me. I tan very easy, so it allways looks like I have been sunbathing forever!

my question to you is, do you lie in the sun for hours or just the allowed daily 10 minutes(or maybe avoiding every ray of sun if possible).

sunbathing: yay or nay?

I'll enjoy the sun just yb sitting around in my garden or during shopping!
But I'm not the type of person who lays down on the beach for nearly days to get that african look!

I burn so badly that when I was younger, I had to put sun lotion in my hair cuz my scalp would burn. SUN=BAD. :p

I'm Puerto Rican, but I avoid the sun as much as possible. I'm scared of wrinkles & sundamage!

I wear spf15 daily, and if I think I'll be in the sun for more than 10 minutes, I wear spf25.

You should've seen me in Maui on my honeymoon! LOL....I was slathered in sunblock, and always wore my sunglasses. 8)

I am a big, big fan of self-tanners, though! I've gotten really good at applying them. I usually like to have just enough of a tint to have a glow.

Groupie, I have to admit that I love to have that summery 'glow'. I am half hispanic so tanning for me is rather easy, anything in moderation right?

lol..i have to admit..even in the winter time i have to go to the tanning bed at least once a week..i feel i look bad when im pale! However, in the summer i LOVE sunbathing outside! I prob sunbath at least 2 times or more a week and lay out for about 45 min! I know its bad for my skin but my mom is like this as well and she is 40 and looks 30..so hopefully i have good genetics!

third what Alexa said, as well as an ailment that literally makes me sick for days with any kind of sun exposure...hence my alabaster skin color...

I like to sunbathe but only with an spf of about 40 on.. i typically use baby stuff. i tan pretty easily although i have no kind of islander or naturally tan genes. i work at a skin place so i am really phsyco about using spf.. with UVA AND UVB haha. otherwise its pointless. drives me absoultely buts tho because my mom refuses to wear it saying that she wont get tan when in all actuality it doesnt change how tan you get that has to do with your genes and such.. sorry for the venting. haha. im a californian tho so sun is a must!

I don't really like to bake for hours in the sun on the beach, man that is sooo boring!!!! I remember my BF parent loved to do that on holiday, I always went back earlier. but I was tired of swimming, hugging waves(I couldn't deside to jump over or dive in them so it turned out as a hug, and before I knew it, I was thrown on the beach with my boobs hanging out of my bikini

) running after the umbrella that was blown away, etc...

I do like to sit in the sun reading a book for half a hour, but then I get bored again.

I read a lot of girls wrote about gettting sunburns, I usually get a sunburn once every summer (in the beginning) and then I just get tanned...Lucky me!

I avoid the sun at all costs - even if I'm just going out to pull weeds or walk the dog, I cover up and put on a ton of sunscreen. Skin cancer is common in my family but also I'm very fair and burn very easily.

nay nay nay! I tried it once a few years ago when one of my friends teased me about being so pale. 10 minutes in the sun and I was burnt! Never again.

Nayyyyyyyyy! I love the sun but I don't love baking in it. If I plan on being in the sun for a long period of time SPF 40 is a must! I have very fair skin and have enough skin problems as it is. I have tried mystic tan but it smells horrible and doesn't last very long so when I want some color I use Neutrogena Build a Tan and I love it!
