I had called my FS store and they hadn't gotten the mini's yet at all (10:30 am) I called the counters and they don't get the paint sets. The MA I talked to didn't even know there was a paint set. I am very anxtious (sp?)

I got my pigment set today around noon, the MAC I went to hadn't even put any of the sets out yet, I had to ask for it. As for the paints I believe they are only available online and in Pro stores.

Wow. The site is shipping fast lately! I ordered a few hours ago, and I decided I wanted to cancel my lipglass set to get the paint set that is now "available" on the site (admitted glitch heh), but when I called to ask about cancelling my first order, it had already been shipped out! :O She said I can mail it back to them when it gets here if I don't want it, though.

So, that's what I'll do! I can't afford both. :p Heh

You might be better off selling the lipglass set to someone on here or on eBay - the way things are going you should be able to make a profit on it rather than sending it back and have it thrown out. M·A·C returns do not get put back into sales inventory so it's just wasted. The more folks return things, the higher the prices end up being for everyone. While it's fair enough to return a product that causes a reaction, has other problems or is the wrong colour I always feel it's wrong to return a product simply because you can't afford it.

I would NORMALLY think it's wrong to return it simply because you can't afford it, but I wouldn't be stuck in this situation if it wasn't for a "computer glitch with my orders" as the lady on the phone informed me. Heh I was contemplating selling it as well, and I might still do that depending on what the prices are like when the set finally gets here. All I know is we have some checks coming through that might bounce if I don't get a refund or something for it! Don't you hate it when that kind of stuff happens at the most inopportune time?!

I wish I could keep it and use it, though.

Edit: Actually, I'm gonna kill two birds with one stone. My mother loves MAC, but she only has sample stuff I've given her. Guess who's getting her first MAC for Christmas this year?

Paint sets are only sold at MAC Stores - so that's why

Also, because of this, they're not available on gloss.com or nordstrom.com

They are . . . in a sense. It's like that whole "a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square." A PRO store is a MAC Store, but a MAC store is not a PRO store. PRO stores carry everything MAC stores carry and then some (PRO Products).

Oh yeah I already know this, but I though we had 3 kind:

- Freestanding store
- MAC store
- Pro store

But I never realized a Pro Store was a MAC store.

Nope there's only Freestanding Stores and MAC PRO Stores which both fall under the category of "MAC Store".

I just got my pigments and shadesticks at one of the counters,
I hope you have some luck!

actually, it was such a bother getting them.
I had my mom go downtown this morning, and they said the shipping messed up and they didnt get it, but apparently sunridge got it. But Sunridge doesnt even have a counter so i was like what? So i called Market Mall and they had told me last friday they wernt getting them, but this time around they said they had them.
Ugh

Hmm. I just got the backcorder notice for the paints, even though they show up on the site now as available. I ordered last night just after midnight when it was temp. out of stock, but if it's "available" according to the site, why am I getting a backorder notice? I know I got my order in early enough because I was stalking the site & ordered not 2 minutes after it was up lol! I suppose I ought to call in the morning to check. *sigh*

When I called and spoke to them, they said they're having a lot of "computer glitches", so that may be why. I ordered my paint set, and it was supposedly shipped to me minutes later but the site still says "PENDING" on the order. :p
