US Plans to Shoot Down Broken Satellite

Interesting timing and they claim the darn thing never even worked on a source.

What happens if the the fuel goes into the ocean or hits a country? What happens if there is a misfire and it hits a country?

Do you believe this is the real reason why they are taking it down?

They are planning to do this over Ireland.

Yes satellites do pose possible danger, but until we all decide to:

1. Stop using cell phones
2. Stop watching TV
3. Stop spying on each other
4. Stop fighting with each other

they are necessary.

If they are shooting it down to keep sensitive info from getting out, as opposed to just concern over possible damage from debris and fuel, more power to them.
