I have to agree, I'm annoyed with Nordstrom. I've been stalking them forever and by now I just feel like an obsessed fool. Someone posted a question a month ago on the eyeshadow quad page, wanting to know when nude dip would be available. And CS responded it should be avail around August 1st! Well 3 weeks later...still nada.
Of course, none of the other department stores have put their stock online either (except Saks for pre-order and late Sept delivery estimate) - they have had pre-sales and in-store sales, but nothing online. Are they going to? I don't know anymore. I assumed they would, but maybe I was wrong. But someone said Nordstrom wasn't doing pre-sales for this collection, so I have to think it will eventually show up on their website. Bloomies too, I guess?

Nordstrom Live Chat told me Sept 5 for the quad online. No idea how accurate that is, but that's what they said. TF online also told me they would be restocking and would have more in 2 weeks. So no need to worry if you want it and haven't gotten it yet.

Thank you! I just noticed someone posted a follow-up question on the Nordstrom website asking if they had a revised launch date, so we'll see if CS replies with the same date they told you. I'm surprised it's that far off because I noticed they started running google ads for it a few days ago. Thought that was a sign. But at least the TF website will also be restocking, so hopefully we can pick it up at one of those sites.

The lack of knowledge about this release doesn't seem that different than the other LE releases. No one ever knows when they will get the products, or how many of each item they will be getting. I had a rep from a TF store call me yesterday to apologize for giving me wrong info about a restock. So if the TF employees are confused, you can imagine how the other retailers are.
I find that the best strategy for getting what you want is to "strike when the iron is hot." If you want a product and see it online or in store, then buy it/order it/etc. Don't wait to get it from a specific retailer. Preorders are sometimes sketchy and depend on the tenacity of the SA. At my regular TF counter all of the SAs are promising their customers products, so it depends on who gets to the loading dock first when the shipment arrives.
Nordstrom CS has told me 4 different release dates ranging from the beginning of August to the end of September. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later for people who want to order from them.

Yep, it is typical of his releases. I personally think they either let stock out in spurts to increase hype or make the stuff on an as needed basis once they see how things sell. Did you see Cafemakeup's review?

I'm a bit a surprised. I thought things were changing for a few reasons. Tom Ford is available at a lot more locations, I've been able to find a few products that I thought I had missed out on, there are a lot more reviews on the products than ever before (there was a time when I couldn't find any info online). Plus, fire lust rerelease seemed to stick around for much longer than I thought. I didn't think there would be this mad dash like before. That is not to say I was going to take any chances.
