OK Tom Ford addicts aficionados maybe you can help me. I have two TF quads Enchanted and Violet Dusk. They are very similar. If you could only keep one. Which one would it be?

I'd keep Enchanted. The texture of the palette is unusual--I love the darkest shade (very complex, pretty).

Any chance someone has compared last summers Incorrigible with Cooper and Pure Pink? I own Incorrigible and it is not sheer even though it was released in the summer line. To me they look like they could pass for each other.

Remember when the Boy's were being released that Cooper was Pure Pink. There were around 15-16 colors of the Boy's that TF admitted were just renamed.

I am aware of that- hence the direct comparison swatches. That's why I swatched the two of them, so people can make their own educated decisions on whether to double up or not.

I appreciate your swatches Starletta, and can see the differences you noted (between cool vs warm). Thank you!

You're welcome! These are the type of colors that are in my wheelhouse, so even if they were twinsies, I knew I'd use up Cooper and could justify a full-sized lipstick. Flamingo was actually my first TF lipstick.

As I mentioned, the difference is slight but present. I think there has been a difference with a number of the Boys that were re-releases- I wonder if it was just that particular batch. Quite a few bloggers and users of this site have noted slight variances over a number of shades- so I suspect it was something across the board. Regardless, they're both fantastic!

This is going to sound a little odd, but the SA tried this on me-try the TF primer OVER the foundation some time. It really adds a pretty glow and melts all my pores to nothingness.
Hey hun, I tried this today & love the look it gave! Thanks for the great tip!!

I also tried it with my Guerlain pearls primer & it looked fabulous.

There does seem to be a difference between batches of the Boy's. I purchased Wes, then later got a backup and it is not quite the same. Close enough, no big deal.

OK, the sun (sort of) came out today. I couldn't get any direct sun photos, but it's decently light out that I feel comfortable with these swatches.

If you have Cooper, you probably don't need the re-release of Pure Pink. They're not 100% the same (especially in formula), but the differences are so slight that it would take an educated eye (ie you know they're different) or to see them side by side in person to catch it.

I know that's slightly out of focus, but it's the only side-by-side for the tubes I got. I was fumbling the lipsticks, camera, and trying desperately to keep my swatches (on the top of my hand) away from my peach colored coat!

Here's two looks of Cooper and Pure Pink, side by side. Remember, I'm so pale that I'm naturally pink.

I'm not sure if this is as apparent on the monitor as it was to me, but Cooper is slightly warmer (and more opaque with one pass) than Pure Pink. Pure Pink is a cool pink on me, whereas I would call Cooper a warm pink. They're both buildable (multiple passes on both swatches for real color payoff), but I actually prefer the new Pure Pink to Cooper, based on the cool undertones.

Hope this helps!
Those pinks are insanely beautiful!!!

Things I learned today from my al time fav Product Specialist at TF, Kimmie:

Shade and Illuminate: If you have pink undertones, you should be using the darkest color, which is #2. Since this is pink based, where as #1 which is lighter, is orange based. I had previously purchased this in shade #1 and returned since it looked awful I went for the lighter shade, based on my Casper skin tone. Kimmie did me and my mom today, WOW is all I can say. So all those Casper's out there, get #2 and you will be beautiful!!!!!

Pure Pink: Since my wallet is drained, and I went hunting for change like I did in college (told the P's it was for laundry, but it really was for 25 cent beer, in college) I asked Kimmie, Pure Pink or Ravenous in the Lip Shines. She said hand downs, Ravenous in the Lip Shines. So I exchanged the Lip Shine that was new, but orange on me for Ravenous. Once again, perfection!!!! Neiman's will be getting Moroccan Rouge too!!!! My wallet just went into cardiac arrest, oh my!!!!

Bronzer: Kimmie showed me how even though I am Casper, I can use this. My wallet is in need of CPR. When one of my fav MUA flipped from Chanel to Kevyn Aucoin, I followed her. She did my face, and I bought everything. I live about an hour from Neiman's. I did look in the mirror in my car before I left and it was fine. I drove home, stopped at my Dad's office at the village. As I walked in I felt like I had spinach stuck in my teeth as I greeted the staff who I adore. I sat down in Daddy's office and he looked up. He then asked me: Please tell me you didn't pay to look like Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater? I asked why, what was he talking about? He told me to go to the ladies room and look in the mirror. Holy F***, I was frigging orange. And I mean orange. I called Neiman's and was told KA on some people oxidizes and turns, no sh**, Batman!!!!

Blush: I was shown today how to apply TF blushes. It is meant regardless of the color of the blush, as gentle sweep across the product is all you need.

Concealer pen with sponge tip: Use a small concealer brush to take product off sponge head and then apply after your foundation. A little goes a really long way. If you have more mature skin, even less is needed. Again, I had purchased and returned, since I could not make it work. My mom has those tiny little veins around the side of her nose. Poof, they were gone!!!!!

March 27th and 28th Neiman's will be hold a TF Beauty Event for Architecture in Face. They will show you how to sculpt your brows and how to shade and illuminate. It is from 11 am to 6 pm, at Neiman's in Northbrook. No fee charged. Appointments may be made, please call Kimmie: 224-688-4883, or email [email protected]
Liza is the other product specialist at the TF bay. Liza can help you too. Nope, I receive nothing by sharing this info. I hope others like me who perhaps might have used a good product inproperly will learn how fantastic they are.

There was a boy's lip Giacomo, that is also hot pink. Doesn't look it on the TF website, but I ordered by accident and it is hop pink. Yes, hours later, and I am still not a pumpkin, so TF is good to go for the bronzer. Too bad my wallet isn't.
