UGH Im so annoyed at MAC

Did you know there was a $900 limit over a 3 month period of purchasing from mac? - If you go over that they wont send you your stuff...

I'm so annoyed. I spent $500 at my last haul at the pro store...and I spent $500 between belle azure, lady sol, lip gelee, sunshrine & d'bohemia.

It really pisses me off they wouldnt send my order cause I spent TOO much money? I blame them! I told them that if they didnt release 4 collections at once I wouldnt have to spend that much money. What is the point of releasing stuff if you cant spend money on it?

This seems so retarded to me...Seriously. I thought spending a shitload of money on stuff was the whole objective?

What the?! That's messed up. I would think they would be thrilled to death that you wanted to spend that much $$ on their products. Did they give you a reason or some kind of rationale behind that policy? I would be super pissed, too!

Wow...I know when I wanted to order some brushes from the website one time, there was a limit.

I am glad this does not include MAC counters. But seeing how much I have spent in the last 3 months I might need some type of intervention.

I guess the policy has been in place for a while. I remember hearing at the pro store that you couldnt spend more than $1,000 at a time, but what they dont realize is that most people (except those within living distance of a pro store) make like yearly hauls...I try to hit it once or twice a year after saving up when I know a collection is going to be coming out, so I usually spend a crapload of money at once. Its just stupid to me. I dunno. The woman I spoke with just said thats the policy.
Its absurd! Its not like I was buying 4-5 of one product...I bought one of each, and 2 of each le tlc, cause I love them and I go through em fast! - Its not like I was buying pigments or stuff to be sampled.

heh its not rich, Ive been saving craploads of money for these collections. I dont spend on much else, except lipgloss, and perfume...lol...

that's really odd... I know that the MA's actually have a $$ limit every month or so (i think it's like 300 bucks or something-- but they get that awesome 60% off discount). but that doesn't make sense as to why they would give just a regular a limit?? how weird!

I really want to send them pictures of my personal collection to see what they have to say...LOL...I think maybe they'd shut up if they actually saw how addicted I am to mac. :x

I know, when I went to the PRO store in vegas on vacation, I was phasing out my 15-pan palettes in favor of clear 4-pan ones and I needed like, 12 of them but had to go to MAC THREE TIMES because of the limit. I hit up different MAs twice and then the third time it was new people working. I see where they're coming from if you're buying multiples (esp. since the palettes will sell for so much more on ebay) but if you're just buying one or two of something? Come ON...Take the damn money!

I'm really shocked that theres a limit on the amount the average customer can spend!

I can see why theres a limit to how many of one item you can buy and why theres a limit to how much a MA can spend.

They should be delighted that some people are willing to spend over $900 in 3 months.

Un-freaking-real. I wonder if other cosmetics companies have a similar policy. As others have pointed out, I could see if someone wanted to buy like 10-20 palettes, etc., because obviously that would be for resale, but to put a blanket dollar amount limit, no matter what or what quantity you are buying of any items, that's just ridiculous.

Did you happen to use a pro card at the pro store? Or did they just take down your name/enter it in the computer? They always ask me and I feel so special bc I'm in there and of course I get the occasional mailing, but I guess it's just their tricky way of limiting your purchases...

I don't see the problem with this price (900$ max.) because I'll never spend 300$ each month for MAC!!!

You can always buy without your Pro card... if you really want your stuff...

Oh and by the way, you can't spend more than 500$ on one order!! But I already bought for 550$ the first day I had my Pro Card, and the MA asked if he was able to give me the discount even if I bought more than 500$, I was lucky because the manager said yes.

look at how things end up on eBay a month or so before it's available in the stores....

Even if I use my Bay card, I'm relatively certain they don't "run it" to see how much MAC I've bought.

So this is restricted to online orders I gather? In which case, it makes even LESS SENSE. Those who are determined to buy "in bulk" and resell would just have to go to a couple of counters and pay cash.
