UGH Im so annoyed at MAC

hah! I dont even have a ppid card!! Thats what pisses me off so much!!! And the fact of taxes, I mean I paid $30 just in taxes alone. I dont think that should be held against me...I pay full price. No discounts, no extras no frills...fucking annoying.

Does the 1-800 # have access to your store account? Or were you only ordering from the number? I've actually spent more than $1,000 at my MAC store in only 1 month, and they have never said anything to me. (I was shopping for my makeup kit) In this first week of June, I've spent $360. (this is after the discount) I'm not reselling unless I don't like the color, and I figure its way better than returning it right? Will I get a limit too? I don't know how this works, but I'm sad now. I need to watch my spending.

Exactly my point. Its insane - I mean I placed an order I think last month, I bought 4 15palettes and 4 blush palettes, M/m water based and cream based, 2 pigments, 8e/s, 2fx compacts, and a bunch of misc other shit. It was like $400 I think. Then with this haul it I guess put me over 900..

I just dont get it, I didnt buy things to resell, and I wasnt buying more than 1 of really anything except the palettes which I use..

It makes you wonder...

Honest people are always punished for the dishonest. I'm sorry this happened to you.
But the reason is the Grey Market.
Statistically, people who spend a lot of $$ on make-up or fragrance, are usually turning around and selling it.
Believe me, I was a Lauder SA for a while and I would Ahave loved your purchases ( I worked on Commission)
But it was company policy. It stinks but sometimes it has to be done to prevent people from selling it on ebay or other venues...

Hopefully I will never spend $900 in 3 month, but I think it is a dumb policy.

The limit is in place because of resellers...one way to sidestep is to refuse to give them your name/address and pay in cash. This is what I do. I hate giving out my name/address anyways because then they call ALL the friggin' time, and I hate the MA's at the MAC stores in my area anyways.

Soooo, I don't give out my name or address, and just pay cash. If they argue with me when I refuse, I walk out and they loose the sale. (which is usually fairly large)

I'm not personally a fan of MAC CS....but I adore their m/u, and it's all I use. Yeah, I would love to have the discount (from PPID), but it's not worth the hassle for me. I figure I STILL spend less than if I was buying Chanel or Laura Mercier...KWIM?
