Victoria girls -- D'Bohemia update

Ok, so when I accused my husband of sitting on packages (he works for UPS) so I couldn't spend money, I may have been pretty close to the truth. Turns out the Bay/Mac does indeed ship its stuff through UPS, and it looks like our stuff was on the traincars that derailed. The packages are starting to trickle through today, but he said there was only one small box as far as he could tell. I'm thinking lustreglasses. He promised to call me if he sees anymore boxes and he will give me the exact delivery time so I will keep you guys posted. It helps to have an insider. I swear we are going to get this stuff or I am going to die trying for us. Since UPS does not deliver (or receive any new stuff) on the weekends, I am thinking it may be Monday before we get D'bohemia. I have my fingers crossed though and maybe we'll get lucky today. HTH

Nope, just derailed which means the stuff is ok, but it held things up until the train could be placed back on the tracks. I am still waiting for the phone call, but my hubby said the stuff was delivered at 1030 today so I guess it wasn't the d'bohemia stuff.

Thanks for updating! This whole issue is so annoying. Im thinking I might just forget about the victoria store and ask my boyfriend to pick stuff up at one of the 10 vancouver stores. Of course thats assuming they got their shipments too.

Wow, I didn't think there'd be anyone else from Victoria in this forum! My friends aren't into MAC at all and they all think I'm insane for being annoyed the Bay doesn't have its shipment yet. XD I talked to Jamie on the phone today, and she said they got Points of Hue and Lustreglass yesterday, but no D'Bohemia as yet ...
I had a consultation for yesterday, but I rebooked it for sunday ... though I may change it again if D'Bohemia still isn't in. Maybe we'll see each other there!

I'm pretty sure they did. The Pro store had the D'Bohemia stuff in a week ago.

Ok, so here's the deal as of 1600 today..........points of hue is in. No lustreglasses, no e/s, no fluidline, and no pigments. They should be in Monday at the latest. I talked to Jamie too in person. I think she is going to kill me for pestering. She promised me again that she would call me as soon as stuff came in. It sucks that Nanaimo got their stuff and my family (who lives there) is telling me how fantastic it all is. If the collection hasn't arrived by monday, I am getting my mom to buy it there for me. Just so you Victoria gals know my little secret, the Bay Mac in Nanaimo hardly ever sells out of stuff right away. They had e/s palettes from xmas in february! Too bad I was stupid and passed on them. I got some Madame B stuff and fluidlines there too. My hubby is on package watch for us so he'll let me know when the stuff comes through. HTH everyone.

Ok, so for some reason I just broke down and decided to order Deck Chair pigment as well. I called the Nanaimo store and sure enpugh they had it, but they refused to send it to me up in Prince George because it was too far away! I mean, it's only a simple store transfer!! They told me to call the Kelowna store to have them send it to me, even after I told her I order stuff from the Victoria store ALL the time!

Anyway, I called Kelowna and they also had it, so they are sending it to me on Mon. I'll pick up my other stuff in June at the Vic Bay when I get home. I really hope they process my request for Coco and Rummy. 'm worried about that so I'll prob call on Monday to make sure.

Cool, I know that I can get it in Nanaimo if I have to as well. It is nice to know my mom will pick up stuff for me. I can't believe they wouldn't ship it to you. Yaaahhh Kelowna!

/\ NO!!!!!!! There is NO MAC store in Prince George!!! Do NOT bother driving 2hrs just to come here for that. I'm from Victoria, and I call the MAC counter at the Bay there, order (and pre-pay by credit card) what I want, and have them transfer my purchases to the Bay up here. If you have a Bay store I'd recomend calling any of the Vancouver Bay's with MAC counters and doing the same thing.

This is D'Bohemia MADNESS! I didnt want to wait for the Bay to call me, so I asked my boyfriend in Vancouver to get me the stuff I wanted -- deckchair, coco, provence, and d'bohemia. 8 of the 10 stores there were out of deckchair completley! My deckchair was the second to last one at that particular store.
He originally went to Robson Pro, which was sold out of everything I wanted. They called around for him and found some, but by the time he drove there they were sold out too and he had to go to ANOTHER store

Hi there!

Another Victoria girl here. I was in the Bay late Friday and the Points of Hue is out.

They have some of the D'Bohemia stuff and all the Lustreglasses but they won't put it out because the displayers haven't arrived yet. Give me a break!

They let my friend and I look at the pigments and Rummy which was the only D'Bohemia stuff in. My friend threw a total b*tch fit and said she was going to order everything online and they could lose the sale - it was hilarious. Well, embarassing, but still funny.

It really is D'Bohemia madness around here!

Oh, and Shawna - I'm holding you personally responsible for making your husband get me my damn makeup by Monday! Just kidding, kind of...

Hey, I'm withholding sex until I get my makeup!! He's extra motivated to make sure it arrives. I'll let everyone know. He said he'd call me as soon as he sees anything come down the line. I got my mom to pick me up some stuff in Nanaimo. I just was too scared I was going to miss out. Keep that in mind, Nanaimo never seems to run out of stuff the way Victoria does. Maybe I'll see you at Mac on Monday. Fingers (and legs) crossed.
