hmmm... There are clubs out here in the Bay Area that use various pictures of celebrities on their flyers too, but not their names. I hope other ppl comment on this because I would like to know also!

they may have paid some kind of royalty to use copyrighted material like this, if they havent then yes they have violated copyright law because thuis is clearly a modified MAC owned and copyrighted image

Well, interestingly enough, I don't see the MAC logo anywhere although I know it's a pic from their viva glam campaign. Well, the might have stolen the pic or bought it, who knows. I don't know. I doesn't have anything to do with MAC. It doesn't even elude to anything involving MAC. For most people it's just Pam Anderson. I think they just stole the name to pick a theme for the party.

I disagree - "Viva Glam" is trademarked by MAC, and thats without even considering the use of the image. It is possible however as I mentioned that they may well have paid for use of the trademark/copryright material.

Wouldn't Violation be a cool name for a MAC color story? It could be intense reds and smokey greys and blacks. Anyway...

But, you are a MAC fan who belongs to Specktra.net, "Your Definitive MAC Resource." If you're not interested in makeup or MAC, really, would you know what Viva Glam was? I could show this to most of my friends and family and they would have no clue.

I am pretty sure this is copyright infringement and if MAC got note of this, they could pursue legal actions. I doubt MAC could allow anyone to use their copyrighted advertisment for some party flyer. Especially since it says on the bottom "Pictures courtesy of milwaukeenights.com"

Agree..it is copyright infringement and the person who used the image illegally can get their butts sued big time...
