I don't plan on getting married, but if I do, I don't plan on father-daughter dance. My picks for first dance with my spouse would be:

By Your Side- Sade
Fools Rush In- Elvis
When I Fall In Love- Nat King Cole

I kind of want first dance to be to Adam Sandler's Grow Old With You (from the movie, The Wedding Singer), but I think it's too short and quirky

Hopefully I'll be getting married within the next year and a half or so, and the boy and I have our eyes on some of these songs, untraditional though some of them may be:

Crush - Dave Matthews Band (often confused with Crash by them, but it's different, and oh so wonderful)
Enjoy the Silence - Depeche Mode
Never Tear Us Apart - INXS
Such Great Heights - Iron & Wine
I Melt With You - Modern English
Talk Tonight - Oasis
Something Changed - Pulp (this really is our song, and if you haven't heard it, you must!)
At My Most Beautiful - R.E.M.

I don't really want to have a father/daughter dance, but I would love to have a dance with my big brother to White Wedding by Billy Idol, just because that song is something of a family favorite (for no reason, we just have a thing for Billy Idol, and it would be funny).

We had "Faithfully" by Journey for our first dance....

"The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra for the me and dad dance

"When It's Love" by Van Halen for the wedding party dance.

Then we started rockin' to "No One Like You" by Scorpions after all the boring formals were over.

After that, it was a mix of everything from Eminem to Beastie Boys to Brian Adams to Zepplin to Ozzy to top 40's.

Britney Spears' Baby One More Time. It would be my second marriage, of course.

I have a weird taste in music, and most overtly romantique songs fall right at the cheesy line for me... so I'm sure it'll be a great feat pondering about wedding songs when that time comes.

Our wedding song was Come Away With Me by Nora Jones and I didn't have a father/daughter dance because I don't talk to my dad... brother and I danced to Unforgettable by Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole

This is my fiance and my song, we were in high school and I was dating someone else and my fiance was just my "best guy friend" and when he first realized he "loved me" he called me one night and played it on the phone and told me "someday this will be our song" and sure enough 6 months later... we were together. He's learned to play it on the piano for me =)

pretty much everything from In Flames and Trivium. I wanna see people waltz to "Square Nothing"

But I guess I will never marry cause I just dont like church and the whole "forever and ever" thing seems kinda boring. Of course I still want a party at a dark little club and lots of Hefeweizen. But no priest. And no romantic stuff. And definitely no promises I could never keep. And yes, I want black diamonds!
