went to mac pro store today

hey everyone... went to the mac pro store today and got my very first two (15) eyeshadow palettes!! yay!! I've been depotting and stuff so I'm all excited. I also got: tinted lip cond. stick, canary yellow e/s (PRO only color!! sweet!!) hepcat, and juxt

just wanted to share. any of you girls have canary yellow?? I'm excited to use it!! if you guys have it, what do you usually wear it with?

I haven't got canary yellow, but I do have chrome yellow,and I like to use it with a lot of colors at the same time, like rainbowlooks

parking is sometimes a pain. it wasn't bad yesterday though, I found a spot right away.

I have chrome yellow as well and i like to use it makeing like a sunset.. like i do chrome yellow in corner going out to orange then a reddish maybe like the reddish blush i am drawing a blank on right now.. and i sortof blend it together with paridisco and highlight with nylon.

I have only been to one Pro store: downtown Toronto (Bloor).

What a complete and utter letdown.

The staff was condescending and rude, there was no order as to who was served vs. how long they had been waiting: a few people who had just walked in the door jumped in before my turn.

I didn't find they had a single thing that I "had to have" ie: I could have ordered all their stuff from the 1-800 number.

The SA only seemed interested in SELLING, they were offering no help to me ie: colors, choices, etc. They were rushing me "Is that it then?" when I was still looking. I even ended up forgetting to get mixing medium, which was one of the reasons why I was going

I am not going back, I don't need the aggravation + the 1 1/2 hour drive!!

IMHO, MAC Bloor St in TO = CRAP

Star, that's really depressing! I go to the Pro store in NYC and the staff has always been very kind and helpful. True, you have to ask for help because it's more of a "play around" store, but I've always gotten expert advice there.

the store on Bloor isn't the PRO store, it's just a freestanding one. The pro store is on queen, and they are way friendlier there. I know what you mean about the service sucking on bloor, that one is only 5 mins from where I live, but I'd rather spend 20 mins and go to the one on queen.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good time at the Pro store. I go to the Pro store in Orlando and LOVE IT! All of the MAs are so kind and helpful. I feel lucky to have a Pro store near me, and twice as lucky that everyone in there is great.

Oh I really want to go to the PRO store in LA. I always come over here to the one in SF they are sooo nice over here I always feel so welcomed.

I really want to get canary yellow but I always forget to get it.

I tried to look on the website for a Pro store but couldn't differentiate(sp)between them? I wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

I have gone to the MAC freestanding store in Short Hills Mall, and they tend to be VERY RUDE and VERY pushy. I had been at a Macys counter when ChicABoom lipstick was out.. So, while i was at the store this time I asked for one, and the SA BARKED AT ME "YOU! Should have KNOWN that was a Limited product".. huh? no, actually, i didn't even think of that when i bought it. Whoa Nelly! No need to spaz on me here..I am a little unsure if i want to go to anymore "stores" now.. I've been using MAC on my clients and myself for some time, the counters in Macys' or Nordies are MUCH nicer..
I was even thinking about complaining...

MACforME you should complain,.. online,.. that is not cool. Sounds like somebody over there needs a good firing fest and rehire some people who really know what MAC is all about. It really makes me darned glad that all the MAC place around here,.. Nordies, Ayres, and the freestanding have super nice people. I have only met one MA here that was a snot,...

The closest PRO is in LA. I went there a couple of months back and they were all very sweet and helpful. I enjoyed shopping with them. Parking is a pain and finding the store was a chore, but I enjoyed it anyway!
