What a vicious creature she is.

What we have is the propensity of low class individuals (make note that I do not make commentary about race, only class) who get the dog and breed it out to be a dog fighter.
It is NOT in the nature of the breed to be aggressive to humans, but it is in the nature of the breed to be POSSESSIVE of 'their' human.
Also, the idea of a pit "snapping" is a misconception. The breed itself is not known to be a hackles raised barking biter. They simply attack.

It seriously broke my heart. I'm excited that I get to see her tomorrow but I'm also sad.

If I were simply giving her back to my brother, it wouldn't be a big deal, because she's HIS dog, but to have to give her to my mom and dad because of some underwriter's brilliant idea really pisses me off.

This is a topic I can go on and on about. I tend to get rather heated though. I used to work at a canine adoption agency . people would come to look at our dogs available for adoption and they would see our bullmastiff and say" oh lets go the opposite way of this pitbull" and I couldnt stand it and yes, I would butt in. (probably what got me fired)
my boyfriends mom think all pits should be killed.. I did NOT tolerate that. I have very little respect for her to begin with (respect is NOT a one way street!) and i told her off too.. Even mixes people steer clear of.. Here is a pit mix i fell in love with while working at the shelter... anabelle and she is amazing she has been there since she was a puppy and she was returned as a 1 year old because she played too rough with their 10 year old lab.. shes a pit boxer mix i hate the reputation that these dogs have gotten.

It breaks my heart, it really does.
Penelope is seriously one of the silliest dogs I've ever seen. She's protective of ME. But she's not aggressive.

The idea that states have "no pit bull" laws is fucking ridiculous, and yes, I can get quite heated on it too.
Misinformation leads to miseducation which leads to misplaced fear.

There is a story currently in Dallas about an owner feeding live kittens to his/her pit bull. This kind of story really makes me sad because it gives the dogs an even worse name.
I've seen pits burned, electrocuted, stabbed, starved, and beaten. It tears me apart.

Be aware of the zoning, as well as any insurance coverages you have. (Renter's insurance, apartment complex rules, or homeowner's insurance)

i was soo shocked here when i had to pay more for my insurance since i have a "dangerous dog" even though my dog has never hurt anybody in her life.

Its like doggie prejudice
