What do you do with special packaging once the product is finished?

I depoted my FAFI quad and use it as a 4-well palette. But I might B2M them because I am not so fond of it..

It depends if I really liked the packaging - some of the compacts and stuff are really cute but I guess they're not really worth much to me when there's no product left in them. I do like the idea of replacing with another product that will fit though. I usually B2M most of the LE packaging some of the eyeshadows I just depot immediately as I like them in palettes. I guess you could say really though that packaging isn't really a major concern of mine.

I've been working on switching out reg lippies to LE packaging after reading an older thread and it CAN be done, I successfully switched out my Curiositease lippie but I broke a few others in the process - still trying to make that technique idiot proof.....LOLOL!!

GASP! Where is that thread? =)

One really easy way that requires essentially no work is to leave the lipstick sitting upside down in front of a sunny window. The sun will warm it up, and the lipstick will slide out completely in tact, all the way to the very base! Now, keep in mind this takes a while, but seriously? It's been fail proof for me. Ideally, make sure the 'bottom' half of the tube is covered in something to keep it away from the sun (but you'll need a way to stand up the lipstick in the first place!) so that the product doesn't melt any more after it has slid out of its base.

This is also fantastic for getting out the stub of the lipstick when it won't screw up any higher. And, I suppose that if you were really careful, you could also use a heat source such as a hair dryer to speed things up.

I have never ran out of an LE product so far but even if I did I don't think that I would give it up. Especially anything Barbie or Heatherette! Those are too cute to get rid of!

I haven't finished anything LE yet, but if I ever finished something cute from Barbie for Fafi, I'd definitely do a depotting session and put a new blush/shadow in there.

I'm superficial and I like pretty things.
