What do you think about Ecstacy?

Im hearing from so many people saying that its great and that it is a safe drug compared to drinking and smoking. But I think to myself people have died from the drug, especially in young teenagers who have only taken it once. And I know people that does it and they are freakin losing their memory. Even though the rate of deaths is low in ecstasy the effects is still dangerous since it does damage your brain. I dont get it. I was just arguing to this guy about it cause some person was asking for help because their friend is taking it, and this guy was just like "Oh E is a safe drug, but it does damage your brain." Then hes like "here are a list of things to safely take the drug....." and then again hes like "im going to a festival and planning to take 2-5 maybe, im going to have the time of my life with the people im close with."

Im like what the hell. Argh gets me so mad. Im close with someone that does take it but she is like not the same anymore...she tells me things that she has already told me 20 minutes ago. Then I ask her "lets go to ULTA" cause I wanted to buy make up and she was like "huh ULTA? wheres that?" and im like wtf its around the corner of our house!

People can be so ignorant. They try to defend this stupid drug because there isnt a big increase in deaths like smoking or drinking. Its such an unpredictable drug its like playing Russian Roulette. You will never know how something you never tried before may react or even something you've done before can do to you unexpectedly. I cant believe scientists say its a safe drug too, I wonder about the parents who have lost their loved ones over this drug think about this.

coming from someone that was seriously into x and many other stuff that it does have lasting effects.....

but then again i do not in any way regret doing anything in my life.

the major thing with me was how it messes up your ceritonin (?) levels. this is the chemical in your brain balances happiness and depression. so you can see where this can become a problem...

X is not safe. my brother in law has a chemical imbalance in his brain from taking those pills. I would never touch them. I admit to smoking weed, but anything other then that I won't even think about.

My husband's best friend did a lot of X. He has to be on many Rx drugs now, to deal with his chemical imbalances. He blacks out for days sometimes, it is very scary. He has found a pretty good balance of about 5 medications these days, but he's had episodes where he's just taken off and disappeared for two weeks, and then we'll get a call from jail in San Francisco ( we live in LA) and have to bail him out.

He was completely clean until college, he was in Law school on scholarships. Now it's practically a full time job for him to take care of himself.

theres a difference between drug use and drug abuse...
like have you ever had so much vodka youve blacked out? or cant remember the night before?
i dont agree with it mind,just saying,

Yeah i use that against a family member of mine, when she cant spell the easiest words or cant remember where things are I tell her that the stuff it getting to her.

Ecstasy is the worst possible drug to die from =| if you're lucky you live but if you're unlucky, you get really dehydrated so you drink more and more and basically it floods your body. I much rather die quickly than take X.

Yeah they make you go "la la la i'm happy!!" but it doesnt last long. IMO i think it should be banned indefinately

X is a great drug except for those side effects. I.E. brain rot etc.

Are you serious?!!! X is a very dangerous drug because sometimes the body can't regulate its own temperature and you overheat. Not to mention the chemical effects on the brain.
And then the same American's say marijuana has no medical purpose.. but it has helped so many sick people dying from Aids and cancer eat.

i find x to be really really scary, I just remember reading all these articles in some british magazines while i was in ireland about all these teenagers that had been dying after their first time doing x. i can't ever ever ever see myself doing x. But in the long run, i can't really see myself doing many drugs.

bad...taking it with lots of alcohol...
but its also bad if you got a bad batch which does happen..as its often homemade. If I had a choice at this point it would be no. Too many risks. and not good risks.
