my old friend worked at clinique, so i was always shopping and going to visit her. i was intimidated by the mac counter though cause everyone was always so pretty and out there.

i got my makeup done there one night, bought mulch, shroom, and embark, along with the foundation, hodgepodge liner, oh baby lipglass.

i didn't like how other brands had the weird cases and were expensive. so hello $13.00 e/s! been buying ever since and now work for them!

Fluidlines and Madame B - I saw that MAC was coming out with the gel liners and I wanted to try them (at the time, because they were cheaper than BB's version), plus I saw that the Madame B collection had great e/s colors, so I bought Plum and Moth Brown. Never would've thought that Moth Brown would be so coveted today! From then on, I was a complete addict.

i was at the millenia mall FL on holiday with a friend and we walked past the pro store a few times and decided to go in cos we wanted benefit make up (as its loads cheaper) so we thought we would look at a few more brands too, went in and omg what to choose lol was majorly confused due to no prices and loads of stuff lol had a gd laugh at these like 9 yr old girls scrapping there fingers in the shadows then piling it on and then their mother going 'oh you can have whatever you want darlings' then went to buy juxt and gorgeous gold shadow then a few months later wanted a BLUE shadow to go with a top and well you know the rest

I'd heard American friends raving about MAC, but I didn't think we had it here cuz I'd never seen it, then one day I was in Cardiff (I used to go like once or twice a year) & saw MAC & went in & I fell in love. Lets just say theres been a hell of a lot more trips to Cardiff since that discovery, lol.

My first purchases were Select Tint SPF 15 & Steamy!

Actually this forum pushed me to actually try MAC make up. I work two stores over from the MAC store in our mall and always was a little intimidated to go in. They have so much that I was over whelmed. I had heard a few things about how good MAC make up was. I joined this forum and decided I needed to grab my own make up.

I went in and bought e/l a quad of four e/s and a e/s brush

i have always LOVED make up and advertising. i remember seeing the viva glam ads with elton john and mary j and wanting to purchase something that had to do with that ad. i remember getting a gift card for gloss.com and ended up buying my first purchase - 4 shadows: greensmoke, cranberry, intoxicate, and tempting - and i was in love...of course i didn't know then to use a base but damn, i wish i would have cuz i remember thinking the e/s sucked!

A friend of mine dragged me to our Dillards' MAC counter to get makeup for prom and I was enthralled by the vibrancy and range of colors of eyeshadows...so I became obsessed. I've been trying to resist the urge to buy a lot, but today I bought 3 eyeshadows and now I just want more and more...
