What is Magic About MAC?

i think it's so popular because it's so striking. no one looks to look the same nowadays, and i hate to say it, but no other cosmetic brand had such a distinct look

The price, the distinct look, and definently the current-ness of everything!! New collections make it exciting.

I agree. I'm 42, and MAC appeals to my desire to NOT sink into old-fogey-hood.
When I wear MAC, I can convince myself that I'm still "with it" to some extent, though, to paraphrase Dave Barry, the light leaving It will not even reach me for years.

great corporate packaging, variety of foundation, lip and eye colours. and there is a texture for everyone. it is relatively inexpensive compared to other department store brands...and the scent of the lipsticks is non-offensive. everyone wins

i just want to correct one bit of your statement... none of the viva glam money goes to AIDS research, not one cent. it goes to helping the people who are actually living with the disease, helping them pay for medications, support groups, and the like.
