Tool- I'm not a big fan of eye lash curlers either. The lash curl doesn't last..

Trick-hmm..fluid eye liners. They look sloppy on me. Need more practice.

I second that! On the other hand I don't need an eye lash curler!

ugh, I despise lash curlers. It's not just the product, I hate the sensation of using it. I'm kinda sqeamish about my eyes anyway. I would rather have a good set of falsies and some mascara. That works for me.

Tool - another for eyelash curlers. It's hard to find one that fit my eye shape. I may just settle for a corner lash curler and just curl my lashes in sections.

Trick - contouring. I've tried this on my nose and it never looks right

yeah, liquid liner is evil, too...i don't know how people can apply that stuff along the waterline. liquid i heard isn't even meant for the waterline! last time i tried applying liquid liner to my waterline, i screamed with intense pain because my eyeballs were burning like crazy. never again. o_O;

hmm.... I don't know how to use a foundation brush for actual foundation! I use it for concealer lol.

and I don't know about tricks, when I don't know how to do something I spend an entire evening on it haha until I get it right but I guess it would be... I don't know how to apply false lashes, they get me SO frustrated after 2 tries I quit hah.

tool: kabuki brushes. No matter how hard I try, I always end up looking like I dipped my face in powder after! Kind of funny because all my friends say that its idiot proof lol!

technique: Cat eye shadow. I can never blend that shape! Always looks sloppy. That and using pencil liner. I'm like the only person I know who finds liquid liners so easy, but pencil liners impossible to use!

Tool: Shadow brushes as opposed to flocked applicators (but I'm still working on it!)

Technique: Getting lip liner to not look like lip liner.

Have you ladies checked out the Contouring FAQ in the FAQ forum? It might prove helpful. I also plan on doing a tutorial on this soon, more for theatrical/halloween purposes, but it will provide the general gist of the technique, and it would simply need to be toned down for street-wear purposes.

The FAQ is: http://www.specktra.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25453

TOOL: foundation brushes! I don't know how to use them properly

TRICK: making blushes/bronzers blend right into the skin. I have a very light-hand but somehow I can't seem to blend well. Ah, help!

tool: not sure; it can take me a while to get the hang of certain things (e.g. lining with fluidlines) but sheer determination and stubborness overcomes that sort of thing eventually! I'm not fantastic with my MAC #192 brush used to apply cheekhues...

trick: getting cheeks to look gently flushed/glowing from highly pigmented blushes. I have a light hand but application suck-o-rama. I shall persevere!

The 192 is a synthetic brush and by nature they apply a lot of product no matter your techinque. I would recommend a different brush if you want a flushed look.

Tool: Eyelash curlers (I see no difference)
Trick: THIN lines with fluidline--medium sized is fine. I can't use the 266 usually--it gets feathery! The BB one is too thick! Ack!
Also I would love to blend better and do more interesting eye crease stuff (a la ms dopesickgirl)
