What tools or tricks can you just NOT get the hang of?

contouring, I think I do it better than any number of mary kay ladies (please excuse my sarcasm <grin> ) I just can't get the "makeup artist worthy" contouring down on My eyes, I do find on other peoples eyes... I'm working on it.

I want to learn how to use foundation/powder.. face stuff. I don't really need it, but when I do my friend's make up I'm like .. uh, could you prep your face.

Tool: most of them I can get the hang of, even eyelash curlers. I almost pulled a chunk of my hair out with a new flat iron once. Okay, last weekend.
Trick: any product on the lower lashline, I end up looking like a raccoon or a little kid who got into mummy's makeup. And brows, pencil or powder - let's not even go there!

fluidliner, false lashes and......... when I apply mascara, it's kinda hard to get the lashes away from each other.. It gets sorta clumpy..
