hey everyone!

i'm stuck on how to apply eyeshadows to my eyes. I'm getting confused on where my v and crease(inner/outer) area are! i think im in a rut because i do want my eye make up to look good but now i feel that its blah and dull.
i don't know where to apply es, what do you guys think suits my eyeshape? i usually do 2 colours on the lid, 1 crease and a highlight. But i don't think im emphasizing my crease and outer v well..
I also tried to make a harsh v line with my 219 brush but it never worked!
Basically i have a huge eye area and i don't know how to flatter it..any ideas?

try three colors horizontally...your eyes are very pretty, you can pull of anything with those

I agree with starliet about applying horizontally, because my eyes are similarly shaped. Sometimes I like to apply a darker/brighter color on the outer half of my lid with a more subdued on the inner portion.

With the crease, I have trouble with mine too, as well as the outer v. I wish I could be of help there, but some days I do something and it turns out spectacular. But when I do the exact same thing another day it looks like I five year-old did my makeup.

Wish I could be of more help!

from the chart in the above post, i think you have almond or maybe round eyes. but don't quote me on that. like frocher said, I'm no expert either. hth! =)

So that probably makes no sense. The green is where to focus for a smoky look and the pink is for a non-smoky look.

First of all, I must agree with everyone here that you really have beautiful eyes, and could basically pull off anything! just don't be afraid of using darker shadows to give more depth to the eyeshadow. And using alot of different colours, and having fun with it! I've spent many hours trying to reconstruct her eyemakeup

nunu, i'm glad you did this post because after playing with my toys this past week, i'm starting to think that i don't even know my own eyes anymore, lol.

It's the part of the eye that when you open them, is where it folds in. In the picture I did, it's just below the pink line at the top.

Can i bring es colours to just above that pink line? is that *the above the crease* area?

Does it look fine if i bring my es colours up to above the crease or will it look funny? I think that i have too much eye space and i want to use it effectively

Also after doing my eye make up i always notice that the area to the sides of the tearduct is always bare and you can see my skin..how do i cover that without making it look like i grabbed my es to the sides of my nose??

TIA

Yea bring the eyeshadow up as far as you feel comfortable, really just playing around will help you figure out shapes. Now the tear duct part, you may want to try just a light shimmery colour (Vanilla, Frozen White, Vex, Provence...) instead of using colour there. Sometimes putting colour there can make you look really sultry, or really dumb. It depends mostly on the whole look.
