A good tip to determine where your crease is, is to close one eye and place brush (217 or 224) on the outer corner of that eye. keep the brush there and open your eye... by opening your eye you will have locked the brush into your crease ... leave your eye open and your brush in that position and do the windshield wiper motion half way across your eye... this is generally the best place to apply darker eyeshadows/crease colours...
The blending brushes will ensure that the colours are blended (well duh, lol) well so if the colour does go above the crease line, it should look ok as long as you blend your highlighter colour into it... you will know if your crease colour has gone too far up if it meets/nearly meets your eyebrows!!
same applies for the inner corner... blending is key!
