I have purchased one MAC lipstick from Ebay and it was authentic but it was from a personal seller. I have never purchased from Nordstrom but I have heard thay they sell authentic MAC.

They're a huge department store like Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Dillard's, they sell only authentic lines of all brands so you're safe and guaranteed new and authentic items, unlike eBay. Even if a seller has authentic MAC, there's no guarantee of it being unused- bacteria free, and if such a case ever arises (such as the case of herpes simplex from common lipstick being applied unsanitary at the pop-up MAC at the Rhianna concert)

MAC will not honor any claims if you buy from anyone except an authorized merchant.

so many negative buyers saying they were burned by fake product, just because they have a high feedback does not make them honest, I noted one reply from her to a neg. comment left, she said she buys only from MAC outlet, there's not a MAC outlet nor a are there MAC wholesalers, people who write this in their listings are selling fake MAC and they know it. With the shipping cost on top of her price why not just buy from MAC at 21.00 and free shipping, guaranteed authentic
