I was named for Deirdre of the Sorrows.

I was named after Saint Bernadette, it was my Mom's favorite name since she was a little girl. I like my name because it's unique. My middle name is Jene and I spelt it wrong (Jean) until I was 16 and my Mom never told me! My full name is really long, 24 letters all togehter!
If I were a boy I would have been Tyler.

My name is Ruth. I am named after my maternal grandmother. Which is what everyone else tells me when they learn my name. That their grandma's name was Ruth. I'm not tired of hearing that or anything...

my name is linda, and i guess that my dad REALLY liked the name, and my mom didnt mind, so she let my father name me. He named me Linda Michelle. Linda because he liked it, and Michelle because it's my mother's name. Come to find out [several years later...] my father's first girlfriend's name was Linda. LMAO!! haha. its a tragedy really.

i'm not named after anyone, my mom just liked the name Kimberly so she named me thus. that's how she chose Christine for my sister, too. my dad wanted to name one of us Car...seriously. long story, hahaha.

Wow, I envy all those with unique names! My name is Daniela, nothing special, and I wasn't named after anyone - how boring! My mum just liked the name and my dad agreed, and that was it. I never felt really unique since in every class at school there were at least three girls with the same name because it was so popular around the time of my birth.

My mom didnt want me to have a shortened nickname. but my grandma started calling me Genny. and my dad calls me Gen.

However, I do know my mom tried to name me Alexsandra or Perla or Nydia. However, my Dad didn't like any of them.

I was named after my grandpa's Irish setter, and a character on All My Children in the 70's.

It was the only name my dad would agree to.

me middle name grace is for my grandfather's baby sister who died after only living for a year. it was a touchy subject for him so i always felt special knowing that i had her name. ha and i don't know why my first name is molly :] but my catholic name is seraphina because she is the patron of the handicapped and my little sister lily is autistic so i felt it was fitting

haha i know what you mean.. all thru elementary there were 3 kelsey's. at one point we all took swimming lessons & got numbered.. "kelsey 1, kelsey 2, kelsey 3.."

i hated it. at least i was the first born tho!

my parents were going to name me brian if i was a boy. my bf would've been named trista if he would've been a girl.. so we decided that if we ever have kids we'll name them trista & brian. (kindof lame tho considering that couple on the bachelor.. trista & ryan

My name is Ciara. I was named after a perfume. I think its pretty cool.

mine's heather leeann... after nobody in particular. my dad chose it, and like 3 weeks later remembered he had a cousin named heather. haha, same last name and everything. guess that's why it had a ring to him. i've never met her, i don't think.

ahh, my grandma suggested two names for me.

she wanted my mom to name my little sister novak. my mom refused so she named her dog novak. she's a dorkus malorkus!

My name is Manuela, it's came from an old spanish song that my father heard when my mother was pregnant. Befor that, my mother wanted to call me Shirlene, but finally i am Manuela. :roll:
