Who's That Lady? Comments

So I got:

- Etiquette GlimmerShimmer
- On The Town GlimmerShimmer
- Rizty GlimmerShimmer *Sample*
- Who's That Lady? LipGelee
- Cool And Aloof LipGelee
- Dame in a Dress LipGelee
- Blushing
Femme Iridescent Pressed Powder

My reviews:

- Etiquette: Golden pink, very sheer. It's lightly glowy and shimmery, but not really pigmented. Good for very pale skin, as a glowy blush
. The bottle is way too small, if at least it was pigmented. I also dislike the pomp bottle, because it's easy to use too much. It can be cool on dark skin as a pinky highlighter, but I'm not sure...

- On The Town: This one is nice! It's a shimmery light golden (lightly peach) beige, more opaque than Etiquette. I use it as an highlighter. The smell is weird though, I don't know how to describe it. (Same thing for the others GlimmerShimmers)

- Rizty: Ritzy is sheer like Etiquette, it's not darker. I'm glad I got a sample because it's too orangey on my skin, and it doesn't work well over my powder foundation
. (Only Ritzy is like that!)

- Who's That Lady?: Very sheer pinky gloss with silver/neutral sparkles. My lips are already pigmented in a medium pink shade, so Who's That Lady? is just a clear gloss with silvers sparkles. You don't really feel the shimmers, but you do feel something.

- Cool And Aloof: I'm disapointed with this one... It's a clear gloss with silver sparkles. Remind you something? Yeah... Lustrewhite LustreGlass!! It's very similar, except that Cool And Aloof have more sparkles and is a touch more silvery, but it's less glossy. (And like every LipGelee, less sticky than LipGlasses and LustreGlasses)

- Dame in a Dress: It's a sheer yellow gloss with golden sparkles. I can see some yellow on my lips, so it can tone down my pink lips, but like others LipGelee in this collection, it's so sheer that it's almost clear.

- Blushing Femme: Plummy peachy shade, darker than I expected, and it was supposed to be a peach shade, but yeah it's more brownish/purple in the pot. On my cheeks though, it's a VERY shimmery peachy shade. By shimmery, I mean: Lightly frosty, but with 'almost chunky' silver glitters... and they fall everywhere! I got silver glitter all over my face. I'll try it on my eyes if it's eye safe.

So far so good, if I could return some things I would do it... (Like Cool and Aloof and Blushing Femme if it's not pretty on my eyes)

Thanks for the reviews! I was wondering about the Lipgelee's, if they'd be too sheer, so I guess can pass this collection up and opt for saving my $$ for Lingerie!

I was disappointed with Who's That Lady?. The only things I want to buy are the lipgelees, and only one or two of them. The glimmershimmers are nice, but ridiculously small, and I'm holding out for the Lingerie MSFs, I think you get alot more for your buck with the MSFs. Pressed powders aren't fun, and everything else was a repromote! Almost half the items part of the collection aren't new, how dull.

I love On the Town for a highlighter too. And I think Blushing Femme is so pretty- I can use it on my cheeks as a light blush- but it does show up rose-plum on me. And ITA with your reviews of the lipgelees- pretty much all clear w/ sparkles.

Which brush do you use? I used #187 and the glitters felt everywhere, so I had glitters on my nose, chin, when I tried to remove it. I only see them when I'm at work, at home it's okay.

Good info there, thanks PK.

The only items that would have got my interest were the lipgelees except that they sounded really subtle and not really worth having. Some of the existing ones sound better! Dare I say that...

I only got Who's that Lady lip gelee. I'm kind of glad I didn't buy anything else after reading your reviews. I considered Dame in a Dress, but I have 2 filtered yellow lipglasses from a few years ago, I think FY is more pigmented than these. I saw a swatch of WTL, and it looked very similar to Chicky. I am still hopeful...maybe. I will swatch them for comparison when my order gets here. I wasn't really expecting to like the glimmer shimmers, when I saw them in the book back in October, they just didn't look exciting to me.
Anyway, thanks. Now I feel better about my teeny little purchase.

Everyone was right about Canada I guess.
I went to my counter and there were 3 lipgelees on display with the other wtl stuff.
I noticed they weren't the right colors and the lady said they don't have them in yet because something was wrong with the caps. I asked if they'll be in within a year and she said yeah well...i'm not sure. So I guess I'll just be looking forward to The new tlcs and lingerie collection. I was really surprised by the size of the glimmershimmers they're so tiny so I'm just gonna stick with pearlizers!

Do you think Dame in a Dress or Cool and Aloof would be a good gloss over lipstick though? I have a couple of lipsticks and could use something to wear over them...

I've tested it with some lipsticks... and it seems like pale lipsticks doesn't work with those LipGelee, they doesn't show up! Cool and Aloof over Bombshell was nice, because you can see some silver sparkles over the pink shade.... In pale shades it disappear!

I'm also skipping WTL, it doesn't seem worth it...at first I was interested in a glimmershimmer, but then I thought about its ridiculous small size and its price...and so far the reviews aren't real good...so more Lingerie stuff for me :p

I'm not too impressed with the Etiquette GlimmerShimmer.

I'm ridiculously pale so the GlimmerShimmer itself doesn't give me enough color, and I can't even see it when I put it over blush, so blah.

I only purchased Who's That Lady lipgelee from the collection, and I'm not even sure I'm going to keep that :| After reading the reveiws about how small the Glimmershimmers, I was expecting maybe something 2x their size, but they really are tiny! There's no way I'd buy that.
I'm saving for the Lingerie Collection as well.

Blushing Femme

I hope I'm not as disappointed as some - I just ordered the lipgelees, blushing femme, dressed to kiss....

Blushing Femme is already sold out on Canadian site! Guess that'll make it easy to swap if I don't like it

I bought Whos that Lady and Dame in a Dress and it is the first lip gelees. I am surprised at how sheer they are.
