I was supposed to be on with the counter manager and learn a bit of product training (cuz I havent been to dior training yet) and SHE CALLED IN SICK!
And no-one called me, so I still turned up and did my shift :p haha, I was all by myself on the dior counter!!
I just had to wing it!
But it was fun, and a girl from another counter helped me out a bit.
I still managed to make some sales, and match foundations and stuff

So far I love it, and I figure it can only get better! I did have one snooty customer, but she wasnt too bad.

I cant wait to go to Dior training!

And if you do cert II and still want to learn more, you can do the diploma and get credit for already completing cert II.
I soo want to do cert IV (fashion/media) as well but nowhere in Perth offers cert IV

Oh, and with the diploma there is HEAPS on SPX and theatrical, which, urgh, just isnt for me

No one needs to take a class to become a make up artist, there is no certifications needed to start as one, you can be self taught and get just as far. people are asking outrageous prices to teach you the basics you can learn on your own. and all you get is a piece of paper telling everyone you know the basics or you took "glamour" classes.... go on youtube and watch tutorials...

UNLESS, however, you're like me... I'm going to pay to become a LISCENED Esthetician, which you need to take a 600-hour course, and after that, you can step into many different careers, as well as being paid more working for a cos. Company than someone who paid to learn the basics of eye shadow blending.

I freelance for MAC, and I'm self taught.

And FYI, its a little different in AUSTRALIA.

And, some people dont want to teach themselves, some people do want to go and learn about different face shapes, eye shapes, lip shapes, concealing techniques, skin tones, colour theory and so on.

didn't mean to come off as rude or anything, but everywhere, people are over paying for something you can read about in a book, which is every thing about make up...
congrats though, dior is a really good be to be working with.
