Work For Mac Without Schooling

is it possible to become a mac girl or work for mac doing make-up without going to make-up school..how does that work??? im looking into doing make-up and would like to gain experience through mac...im in love with the company

The MAC in Atlanta is always asking my friend Morgan to work there and this other girl that I know and neither are makeup artists.
She told me that it was pretty easy to get a job there.

I'd recommend having a portfolio ready though

I don't think most of them have gone to makeup school. I think it's practice and developing your skill as an artist, which you can do by practicing with friends and getting honest critiques from people on Specktra.

As long as you can apply make up well enough to pass your Demo interview, regardless of schooling, you shouldn't have a problem. The vast majority of the girls at our local counters haven't been. Good luck to you!

I didn't go to makeup school when I was hired by MAC...you need sufficient skills to pass the demo and to be able to do applications of all sorts...good luck!
