Would you exchange this?

Hi,

Im really sorry if this is in the wrong section, but i was wanting to get peoples opions who actually work in MAC stores/counters.

I was recommended a MSF Natural in light medium by a MUA at my local MAC store. I thought it looked too dark (im a NC15) but trusted her opinion, afterall she knows alot more than me.
When i got it home, i tried it and it was too dark it made my face look darker than my chest and neck (not a good look)
I swiped my brush over it maybe 4 times. Its still in box, with plastic dome & looks clean. Do you think I can go and exchange it for a lighter shade?

Oh i still have the receipt, I bought it about 3 days ago.

Id really appreciate any help.

Yes, I would definitely exchange it. They always let you return/exchange things even if you use it.

I know MAC are very generous with their returns policy in the US, but as the OP is in the UK, will this still apply?

Yes you can excange it cause they gave you the wrong color, it's not you fault.

I exchanged it in my lunch hour! The only Question she asked me was if I had the receipt.

Went to exchange something ended up buying an eyeshadow

dangerous territory! Ive been planning on buying a new 239, so it could have been worse. hehe
