Wankers. All of them

As the manager Summers should be acting with Duty of Care. She is responsible for the safety and well being of her staff. I think the victim should sue MacDonalds and then McDonalds counter-sue this "Sharp-as-a-spoon" Manager. How could she have ever thought the authorities would ask her to step in and strip search an employee. Any person in their right mind would know how unlawful and degrading that would be

I don't even want to get started on the fiance, what a vile man. I'm glad he got his 5yrs Time, he absolutely knew he was taking advantage of this poor girl or he wouldn't have been so quick to have her cover up when Summers re-entered the room

And why didn't the maintenance man and other involved employees do something pro-active to stop the situation

i'm just hoping that macdonalds are taking the appropriate action with the manager, and offering counselling, help and support to the girl.

particularly that manager and her fiance. it didn't even seem like he was an employee, just some random guy who the manager was bangin at the time. he and she should definitely be held accountable.

She's 18 NOW.
She was 15 when it happened two and a half years ago. 18 when she gave the interview.

As long as the people who did it get charged thats good. Of course her boss at mcdonalds didnt seem to have told her about a history of suspicious calls they had there. And all though it may seem like common sense to not fall for such a thing she was only a child.

I dunno why people always use the naivety of someone against them in court when its the evil doings of the attackers.

Sexual assault cases are impossible at best to get a good result for the victim and in this case i reckon there is no chance that anyone will be charged even though those who were meant to be in charge and probabl realised what was going on didnt even try to help her.

Not agreeing with it (I usually try to play devil's advocate to understand the other side), but some people think that the victims should be accountable for their role in assaults and such. Like if a woman were out late by herself in a miniskirt and were sexually assaulted, some people would argue that she was asking for it, because most people know it's more dnagerous to be out late at night and that mini skirt=sexual provocation. Yes, it's disgusting people will actually put some blame on the victim, but it happens.

I think this case has a better chance in trial, because they have video. I assume they have video of the entire thing, correct? A lot of sex crimes are a he said/she said situation, unfortunately, and physical evidence can be questionable in the defense's eyes. However, the little bit of the video that we've seen shows something inappropriate was happening, to say the least.

That bothers me, too. Either they're all dumb as rocks (doubtful) or they don't want to be involved with a crime (I think more likely.) The latter point- there are certain crimes people will not involve themselves with being a hero. There is this old, old crime where a woman was brutally killed and 30something people had the opportunity to call the police and yet did not.

the maintenance man was the one who told Summers he was being asked by the caller to tell the girl to drop her apron.

"oh let me walk into this room see the naked GIRL in there with a MAN, and think nothing of it" naive b*tch!!
I CALL BULLSH*T!! shes so full of it, its coming out her ears.

if i was 15 and a man told me to take my clothes off in a little room . I'd say no thank you sir, and he refused to let me leave. I'd scream. I feel sorry for the girl, Seems she was raised to respect all elders (not that its a bad thing) but for some reason there was no line drawn, between respectable elders , and perverts. ugh . that man is a suck f*ck. . . and that woman.. I won't even get re-started on her!

The woman was the one who asked her to strip, IIRC.

did you hear her say that the reason she went along with it was because her parents taught her to always listen to adults? um..she must have some kind of mental disability, i don't care if the fucking president told me do that kind of stuff, i tell him to bite a nut.

legally, a strip search cannot be conducted by someone of the opposite sex without a witness of the same sex as the subject of the search. and i have NEVER heard of a cop calling and giving instructions on a strip search...but maybe that's just me. maybe things are different in Kentucky. i don't know. but still, the girl seems a little too naive for her own good.

anyway, regardless of her not using her gift of independent thought, i think the woman (manager, i think she was?) and that man should definately be held accountable. as far as the McDonald's corporation, no...because they have no control over that. they give the people guidelines and stuff, but it's up to the individual as to whether they will follow them or not.
