Top 5 for me:

-Dalliance Mega Metal- just love this color. A different looking neutral - is it warm? is it cool? I'm not sure. Actually it a reminds me of an old Stila color I swapped away long ago and instantly regretted it. Plus I love the Mega Metals formula. I wish I had bought them all. I didn't because I was trying to reign myself in at the beginning of the year and told myself I didn't have to buy a whole collection. But I'm sorry I didn't.

-Faux Gold MES- Love all the Semi Precious colors but this one gets the most use. It looks the best with my skintone since it is a warm color but it looks absolutely fantastic foiled. I also love that you can pick out the veining on it and use the burgundy as a crease color. I almost passed on this color because again I was trying to do something different and not buy the usual colors that I go for. I'm so glad I listened to the raves of forum members and picked it up before it was gone. (Elegant-One!).

- Clarity MES- I don't know if I use this the most but I love the endless possiblities in combining it with different bases and such. Love the grey color with multi color sparkles. Really unique color. I bought 2 of these.

- Prance Mega Metal - Again I love the Mega Metals formula. I love this because it's a pink that I can wear. Light pinks sometimes don't show up on me but this one does and I love the sheen on this color.

-Morning Frost MES- This was a tough one. I really love the new glittery paint pots. It was a toss up between this one, Genuine Treasure and Let's Skate. I think this one is fairly neutral so I imagine I would use it more although I think Let's Skate is more unique. I think all of these should be permanent.

My top 5:

  1. Clarity MES - glitter and a unique color is a win for me.
  2. Love Peck KLC - the dark vampy lip I had been searching for.
  3. All My Purple Life lipglass - the only lip gloss I've owned that truly stayed purple after 5 minutes
  4. Hocus Pocus eyeshadow - goes with anything.
  5. Secret Identity lipglass (Wonder Woman) - my perfect neutral lip.

For a top 5, I'll have to go with the ones that were most used combined with most versatile and flattering:

1. Exxxhibitionist Kissable Lip Colour: amazing formula in every way and this was my go to color from the collection pretty much the whole year.

2. Cool Elite Big Bounce Shadow: Total face brightener and the texture was so long lasting and age-defying, plus so fantastic as a base. The only reason I'll buy other white eye products is due to knowing I'll run out of this one.

3. Lush Light Bronze Careblend Bronzer: I adore the Careblend formula and this is the perfect soft, non-orangey bronzer version of it. I predict this'll become perm one day.

4. Elude Beauty Powder: I'm only sorry I won't be able to wear this year round, but it's pretty much the ultimate powder for the china doll look, plus it comes in a gorgeous compact.

5. Prep & Prime Vibrancy Eye Primer: A real work horse - it does everything from skin conditioning to major de-puffing to concealing and priming. This has to be my single favorite MAC skincare product.

Mine would have to be... Hibiscus lipstick, 226 brush, Rose Quartz MSF, Mighty Aphrodite blush

Edit: and my fifth one would be Strange Potion lipglass, I got it with the re-promote this spring.

Genuine Treasure Paint Pot - So unique and amazing. It's festive, it can be dramatic or soft. I like to wear it all on it's on. It last and I can have a simple face and just have this in the spotlight. Dalliance Mega Metal Shadow - Dream texture, amazing color that's not too warm or cool. Goes with so many looks. Makes eyes look alive. Hocus Pocus Shadow - Perfect smoky eye. You can wear this all by itself and a little goes a long, long way. Caqui Lipglass - Perfect orange gloss. It's not too milky, but there isn't obnoxious shimmer. Mythical Shadow - Finally a reddish/copper shadow that doesn't make me look ill. It's gorgeous, pigmented, blendable and looks great with browns.

I loved SO many products from MAC this year. So, my list is made up of the 5 MAC products I use most often. I grab for these items on a weekly basis. For me, a great staple product is so much more rewarding than a WOW product that I love for the moment but quickly forget about or don't use as often because it's not as useful for everyday. If I can add something to my HG list, THAT is what makes it wonderful to me!

1. Geo Pink Cremesheen Glass - the perfect pop of color without being over the top

2. Vinatge Selection Paint Pot - I know this is kind of late 2010, early 2011 so I am including it. I know these Paint Pots were not well received by most, but I really like this PP. This was the only color I picked up from the Cham-Pale collection but I reach for this PP at least 3 days a week for a great base to make neutrals (from my UD Naked Palette) really pop & I even use it by itself for a little sparkle.

3. Semi Precious Faux Gold MES - I just LOVE this shadow on me. It really brightens up my eyes. I use it dry. I use it wet. It can definitely be worn alone with just a brow highlight but still looks like you've been a pro at blending a beautiful eye color.

4. Moleskin Eyeshadow - Just a great staple basic neutral. I grab for this to use in the crease to warm up my eye. I use it to blend out other colors. It's so useful for being such a bland color. Sometimes the most simple shadow is everything!

5. Despite the Beigescapade excapade... I do love Lightscapade. I BU'd it up THREE times. It is beautiful on the skin. I never had the old one, so I cannot compare, but this newer version works fine for me.

I ADORE Vintage Selection one of my most favorite paint pots ever, I wish I had backed it up. I keep hoping I will find one at a CCO! I use it with my Naked palette also and Bare skin for BE, for that perfect neutral look.

Oh yes girl! Happy to find a fellow VS fan! Great minds think alike! Sadly I didn't back mine up either. Didn't realize I loved it so much until it was too late. Fortunately, it is lasting me a long time! I sheer it out most days so it should last me awhile. Did you get Let's Skate from G & I? It's not the same. But does give that same pretty sheered-out shimmer effect.

so for me my faves for the yr (so far) are kind of all over the place. i've tried so many different things these are a few of the ones i tend to pick up a bit more..

Mega metal eyeshadows, in particular Paparazz-she..omg, LOVE this color. I have always been very big on oranges or redder browns on the eye and this was one of my faves during the summer. Wore it with Firespot, or Coppering for more oomph. sooo pretty.

Peachstock lipstick (pro) LE fr Mac me over..Again another love, peachy nude that has great coverage and can layer almost any gloss over it and I love how it looks. I am a smoky eye fanatic so this kind of color was right up my alley. Oooohh another from mac me over, Dark Envy fluidline, Its just a great green base under Humid, Lucky Green, sweet and punchy i dont really use it as an eyeliner though =/

From Jeanius Riveting Rose lipstick and Indigo Pink lipglass..Reminded me why I used to be such a fan of deeper colors. great color combo that I recieve soooo many compliments on when I wear them.

From Surf Baby, Hibiscus Lipstick one of my faves over the summer I wore it all the time.

and last but not least Glitter and Ice Dazzleglass I love this color and can wear it over peachstock, Velvet Teddy, Viva Glam Gaga II, i loooove it.

(ok i know that was more than five, but i kept them in the same collections!!)

OK let me see if I can narrow it down to only 5!

1. Mattene in Naked Bliss....Oh how do I love thee? DARN close to my all time fave, Blankety. Perfect nude! Love the finish too....matte but not TOO matte.

2. Good Times Lipglass.......love the opaqueness of this and the color is milky mauve. Mauves are a fave of mine.

3. Viva Glam Gaga II Lipstick and Gloss.....OK so it's two in one, but they go together so well AND they go seperately too! This is the beigey tan nude I've been looking for!

4. Blue Brown Pigment....literally the most BEAUTIFUL duochrome I own.

5. Satin Taupe.....I have passed on this a number of times because the tone in the pan looks very golden to me and I like gray based taupes better. I'm so glad I caved...it translates to gray taupe when I apply it!

1. Golden Gaze MES - I think this is an amazing product, so beautiful. As long as you have one with enough gold veining.

2. Pink Power MSF - fell in love with it when I got it. The texture is so smooth, especially the highlighter part is beautiful.

3. Lighscapade MSF - I don't have the original version, so I can't compare, but I love this. Perfect for my NW10-15 skin.

4. P+P Highlighter in Radiant Rose - it's light, pinktoned, brightens the face, I really like this a lot.

5. ... I don't know, LOL. There are a couple of products that I liked, but nothing particular stands out. Candy Yum Yum, Optical Bronzer, Pink Cult, Equilibrium, How Beautiful, Pleasure Principle,...

For some reason I can't think of many lip or eye products that I liked.

I was not super impressed with MAC's offerings this year. This could be largely because I have so much already and it's going to take something really out of sight to grab me at this point! With that said, here are my top 5, in no particular order:

Dalliance Mega Metal Shadow: A beautiful, unique color, excellent formula! There were actually several shadows from this collection that I liked, mainly because of the texture/formula.

Genuine Treasure Paint Pot: It really was a "genuine treasure" (groan) for me! You can't go wrong using this alone for a simple, quick and lovely look.

Hocus Pocus Eye Shadow: I went into the Blogger's Collection thinking that Jealousy Wakes was going to be my runaway hit, but Hocus Pocus stole the show for me!

Clarity MES - I am traditionally *not* a fan of MES', but the first time I saw Clarity I was blown away. Oh, the lovely, sparkly multi-dimension it has! I was with my daughter when I saw it and she bought it immediately, but I was still looking at MES' with the side eye. It kept haunting me, though, and I finally bought my own.

Golden Gaze MES - after having purchased Clarity, I was sure I didn't want any other MES. Then the hype on Specktra made me curious about Golden Gaze (which was sold out and taken off the display when I saw Clarity so I basically knew nothing of its beauty). Once my mad hunt for it ended after contacting several Pro stores and counters in other states, I found one and the rest is history! It's so beautiful! And I have never been more impressed by the quality (smoothness and pigmentation) of any single MES than I am by this one.

1. 179 Angled Split Fibre Buffer - I use this every day! I love it to blend out blush or even to apply it. I also blend out blushes with beauty powders/msfs with this brush. Also works for contouring.

2. Sparkle, Neely, Sparkle eyeshadow - Use this as my 'go-to' brown crease color. I had been looking for the perfect brown for a long time, then I found this.

3. Gem of Roses lipstick - My favorite lipstick this year. The closest I am willing to go to red. Looks fantastic in the summer. Not too bright, just right. I don't have anything else like it.

4. Hocus Pocus eyeshadow - I had this sitting in my stash unused up until last week. Now I'm in love with it. I have been wearing it with Lise Waiter glitter/shadow duo in 'Golden Taupe'. They look fantastic together! It's my go-to holiday look this year.

5. Play it Proper beauty powder - Very fine product. I love the texture and the subtle glow it gives me.
