I accidentally ordered a second Charming from Chanel rather than Pink Pulsion...oops! I just placed my order for Pink Pulsion (and Rose Confidentiel and Black Satin n/ps happened to fall into my cart...I dunno how that happened

Oh dear. What will you do with the extra Charming? You sure like your nail polish ;-) I just started keeping my nails painted everytday and they're actually growing! I just may have to expand my collection past the like 5 nail polishes I have LOL

I wish we knew whether all quads going forward were going to be this formula. I really hope not, and not a single blogger I've read seems to hope for that either. But will Chanel care? I wonder....

Although I didn't get any further info other than that the quad was used on the model's eyes in the promo (I wish Chanel would post MAC-like looks with specific directions on their site) I did get this:

The European Baked formula will only be present in certain limited
edition items. Please be assured that the American Non-Baked formula

I've been using the Chanel Holiday Quad one color at a time lately. I had a fashion show and used only the chocolate... layered under MAC Copper Sparkle...





and I used the same combo on all of the models...



I used a lot of shadow last night...and do you know there isn't even a HINT of wear in the quad? It looks just as new as the day I bought it. This eyeshadow quad is going nowhere soon! I'm happy to see that, because sometimes you'll go through damned near half a pan of shadow in a single show. We tend to use a LOT of product... and we're all moving fast... so you'll look down and realize that your product is almost gone!

Gorgeous! I like the pop of Copper Sparkle -- that makes me want to go find a sample of that t order!

Thanks! The copper sparkle REALLY brought out the shimmer in the Chanel shadow. Everyone kept asking me if the copper sparkle was Chanel and I was like "Nope! It's MAC!"

Winthrop44 - that is great news! That is disappointing they don't give more info...sure it was used but with how many other products that weren't part of the collection?!

That was quick with magnolia, but I'm not surprised. I think it's so pretty, even moreso than the other recently released pinks (which I also really liked).

my macys had the holiday collection out yesterday. i swatched the quad and was not too impressed. compared to the squares ones this was kind of hard to swatch but mind you i was using a q-tip so that may be the problem. but i would say this is definitely not for everyday use but the colors were pretty nevertheless...

i am still deciding. :p
but magnolia was beautiful!

I got my holiday goodies! Picked up a bit more then I had planned on, but everything was so pretty! Wasn't actually able to swatch anything, as the testers hadn't come in yet, but was able to see everything in person and based my decisions mostly on online swatches. Ended up with Pleasing and Charming glossimers, Patchouli and... the QUAD!!! I said I wasn't going to, but did and am I ever glad! Wore it when I went out for dinner with dh, and omg is it ever gorgeous! The darkest colour is honestly stunning and seriously pigmented! It didn't go purple on me at all, just a super pretty shimmery brown palette with the cool pink shimmery shade that pulled it all together.

Didn't try the lippies yet though! I ended up using Chintz with Bikini peach!

I popped by Bloor's Holts Sunday and they didn't have testers either. But Chris (head of makeup for Chanel Canada I think?) is coming by on Thursday with her own testers so I'm going to have her take me through it.

How does Pleasing look over Patchouli, because that was the combo I've been thinking of. And I truly think that I can get the same brown colours from MAC for a fraction of the cost. Are there any dupes?

Patchouli RC

I ADORE Pleasing over Patchouli, it's the perfect nude lip for me. And the tweed blush looks fabulous on dark skintones. I'm pleased. Though my bank account isn't.
