Personally, I don't think they will-- the bags are cute but I'm not sure if the design is necessarily enough to get people to buy the sets if they weren't already...

So I emailed the MAC site and asked when TT will be released on-line and all she told me was to subscribe to the newsletter (which I'm already in).

But it sounds like things wont sell out too quickly... so maybe I shouldnt worry about it?


If it wouldnt be too much trouble can someone do a swatch comparison of The Faeire Glen/ Mellow Mood/ and Viva Glam V???? I'd really appriciate it

my excitment just isnt growing that muc for the colour story anymore. and seeing as i get it in the uk in just over a week you'd think i'd be excited by now right?! i am happy for the new full sized pigments though but that is about it! maybe when i get the goodies i want i will be excited for them?

I read things a while back somewhere here and had planned on responding, but trying to catch up I've already forgotten what the hell they were about and trying to respond to other posts remains a total fail for me. I'm working on it, lol.

Anyway!

I'm still excited for this collection! I'm crazy about the packaging and the few items I've picked out, played with, and pre-ordered really called to me. Some other items I was hyped for (like the single e/s and the palettes) will be passes for me, but I'm slightly relieved from a money point of view.

I have to say I'm really impressed with the brush sets/bags this year, so much so that I'm actually getting one! They seem better quality to me, but that could be all in my head because I'm desperate for one of the bags.

I'm getting the "She's Got It All" set for 2 reasons: 1) I actually want all of the brushes for travel/in the purse use and 2) I want the different sized bag (shorter, longer, different colors). I'll also be getting the Viva Glam lip bag and having 2 of these kick ass Tartan bags in different colors/designs/shapes makes me happy! Sad? Maybe, but at least I own up to it.

Erin, your swatches are so dreamy! I'll be getting all 3 lipglass sets (love them!) and enjoying every second of those awesome tins. Thanks as always!

got to see the sets and stuff.. as everyone has already mentioned, nothing stodd out tooo much (then again the colour collection hasnt released as yet, and all the products I really wanted are from that one). The purple palette surprised me. All the colours swatched pretty well, none too sheer/chalky, on my NC 44-45 skin. The reelers and rockers palette was good too (VP's- hello!), but the colours bored me (except for tht weird gold colour).I loved the greena nd dirty gold from twists of tartn but not the rest... the neutral palette- skip for me, just bought the naked palette..
The two lip sets were a pass for me... I MAY get a brush set, the bags are cute and brushes are pretty good...

now am looking forward to see TFC, MN and later pigments, the smokey pigment set (hello hotness!), the neutral lipgloss set (Erine's swatches are amazing!) a backup of Undercurrent and all the raves on Black swan have gotten me thinking about it.

I was kinda surprised with Karen's swatches too.. I mean There is no way that Mauvement looks so sheer.. I have dark eyelids and mauvement shows up SO well.. it looks like she has applied a super sheer wash of colour, doesnt really serve the point, cos we dont get to know what the colours look like! I do love her reviews usually tho!

I find that kind of rude. I am subscribed for the newsletter as well and mine always show up at least 2 or 3 days later, after the collections already have been launched. I never get them the day of. I don't see the harm in just telling you.

Seriously... I never get my notices until well after the collection has released either and enough time has passed for the popular stuff to sell out. Gotta keep it hush hush... God forbid anyone knows when exactly they should get online to spend lots of their money.

yeah it's the same thing that happens in the uk. usually all my stuff has arrived from online orderig by the time the mailer comes through via email!

also i am totally skipping the grey single shadow now. honestly the colour payoff doesn't look that great so....

I am skipping the individual eye shadows as well. I didn't like them at all when I swatched them and honestly I don't like that they are too big to depot into a regular 15-pan palette. I am strange like that!

The large shadows are cute but none of the colors are WOW! in my opinion. I mean really, those colors could easily be duped. Plus, I know that my love affair with them would be short lived. Most likely until the Metal eyeshadows come out.

I ordered The Family Crest, and I am so excited for this one. I have Undercurrent from the previous release and it is really pretty as well. The other things in the collection looked pretty dupable with what I have in my stash so I am gonna pass.

No it's not, but that's alright dear. I like me a smokey eye, so I think I need this anyway.

I think I like all three lipglass sets again and the smokey pigment set.

I think the lipglass sets are good purchases for me because I am a lipstick addict, but have like no lipglass to pair it with or if I just want a lighter lip... Last time I counted, I had about seven or eight to my twenty five lipsticks- no joke. And since I don't use them that much, these should last me a long time! I'm just gonna get all three I think.
