just got my stuff today...that tartan book has quite a bit of text, but none of it makes any sense

Me toooo!I will get my haul today!!
Mostly I look forward to PIC eye palette and the pigments, I guess. And the lip bag with Babysparks Dazzleglass. Yay!
Wonder if I can get a Starbucks christmas drink already as well??

Happened to me! Although, I actually like it better that it's dark navy blue.
Btw, I got my haul today. I got Black Swan (just like Chester, it looks dark navy blue with silver glitter on me) and Black Line (looks like dark olive green with gold sparkles). I passed on Undercurrent because it's a total green on me. I want a hint of blue in the teal >.<

Yay! I ordered my stuff! I got all the pigments and a back up of undercurrent and black swan. Want to see the palettes in person Thursday! Want to get the face kit with oh so fair in it. And maybe b2m for a lippie! So excited for box day Thursday!

I'm wearing it today and it is very pretty. I will state that I'm probably the world's only glaze fan. I find that the colours always show up as a nice stain on me- subtle impact but definitely visible. The gold sparkly is very subtle on my lips, but it catches the light really nicely.now i'm on the fence with courting lilac again! darn me not being able to make a choice!

I did my first dramatic smokey eye look with the family crest today. It ended up a little bit messy but it looks alright. I still don't think I'm wild wild wild about FC.

I feel bad saying this, but I ended up not wanting nearly as much from A Tartan Tale as I thought I would. There were a few things that I ended up getting, but i didn't go anywhere near as broke as I thought I would...but I guess that's a good thing...

Here's what I got:
- The Faerie Glen - LOOOOOVE it! It's the even better my lips but better
, it's wonder- wonder- wonderful!!! Makes me extremely happy!!
- Twists of Tartan - Oh my gosh, somehow I didn't expect the palettes to be so tiny! I've seen tons and tons of pictures of them but...(It's the first holday collection I'm paying attention to, I supppse that this is normal?)
I was a little shocked at first to be honest - in the end I think it's quite adorable, I haven't tried the eyeshadows in action yet, obviously, but I really like what I am seeing and swatching so far!!!! Glad I got this! --- I wanted to get A dashing lassie too (just later), but since I have quite a couple of neutrals and this is really rather small, I think I might actually make a full pass on that one, maybe invest in Ricepaper some time and that may do the trick
- Her Blooming Cheek and My Highland Honey - yes I did! After thinking back and forth, and back and forth again and again, if I wanted the one or the other, or neither, I got both today! I had to try HBC immediately, built it up slowly and oh my goodness... It's soooo pretty! (Used carefully
)
- Undercurrent and Black Swan - this is a surprise buy since neither of them were ever even close to being on my list before. I saw them, swatched them... and I caved. They are so smooth, and pretty, and they really don't seem to budge after drying. I caved, I caved. I'm curious if they hold what they are promising - I am always on the lookout for ... non-budging-eyemakeup
Actually my counter here, shockingly, did not have the Lip bags in yet (only the one with Viva Glam) and I am desperate for Dazzle the lads (!!!) - so of course my logic was "well if I don't get to spend my money on that today, I may as well get something else!" I probably would not have gotten the liners if they had had the lip bag. This makes a whole lot of sense of course, since I am still going to get Dazzle the lads as soon as I can, so there clearly wasn't actually any money saved! ... And if I don't get it in the end, because my counter is just stupid (I know that other stores with MAC counters should have them already; the MA told me they are getting it in 2 weeks, and I won't be here then) I will seriously need to punch someone.
The MA also tried to sell me anything orange-peachy (which does make sense, since my eyes are a blueish green, and I have a warmer skintone - I get that...), but I said no to Cut a Caper and Follow your fantasy (yay me
), MHH I was already gonna get anyway; but I might actually go back for FYF. The colour payoff is not great (!) but I liked the sparklyness somehow, as well as the little hint of colour it gave!So, I have a question mark list now: Dashing Lassie and Deepest Wish - can you girls help me? Do you think that Dashing Lassie is a must have for a girl who likes neutrals or can I let it pass? Somehow I can't decide on that. And Deepest Wish - it actually looked a lot cooler when I swatched it on my hand, like it actually had a hint of blue to it... does somebody here have it and love it? I guess I have a rather pink undertone to my lips so if it's actually a cooler toned lipstick it may easily look hideous on me - and somehow I am too intimidated to just try it on in the store, so I want to look for other reviews first

So far I bought Courting Lilac lipstick and the keychain Sir Teddy as he's so cute! I really want to get TFG, PIC and Glamora castle but I've blantantly told my mom what I like and I'm hoping for my b-day
