Hi ladies! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Elegant, I love the pics of Peregrina - I think I may have to pick that up. I just ordered the 2 eye shadow palettes, the JC, and Black Pearl......I can't wait to receive them! I decided to hold off on the lipsticks until I can swatch them - they usually look prettier in the tubes than they do on my lips.

Did everyone enjoy their holidays? Any big plans for New Year's?

Hi ISa!!!!!

Hi Shypo darlin -- hope you are doing well and enjoying your holidays

Elegant, I got Bella Bamba too, and it is quite pretty - I was surprised, but I love it!

I must post a FOTD - though I'm so out of practice I might look like bride of Chucky!

Nora, what a great gift - there's nothing like family dinner around the table.....I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!!

Michele.......hi!!! I will definitely post a 'report' of my haul. I've been MIA with holidays and work, and haven't had much opportunity to play in my makeup, but I'm saddling up again. I ended up with a very pretty Christmas Eve look for church - I used Taupe/Delicat (one of my faves) and rather than focusing on the crease with the Taupe, I used it on the outer corners in the traditional 'v' shape and blended it over to the center of my lid - it was so pretty. I paired it with The Perfect Cheek blush and one of my 'redder' glossimers.....I should have taken a pic, but my battery was dead too.......

Miss QQ, you should have a party! But I have to say I'm with Michele - I don't stay up too too late anymore......I love to sleep!

Thanks for the additional pics, Elegant - I'm sorta digging Flamboyante now - looks like a perfect more subdued red, which I always love!

BOC - cracked me up!

I realllllly am loving Bella Bamba!

Funny, thats all I took to the kids was Taupe duo because its so pretty & easy.

Flamboyante is such a beautiful everyday pick me up red!

Elegant -- I liked Flamboyante, but not enough to buy it.... lots of dupes for it... from YSL to NARS Flamenco comes to mind.

OT: those pink pants that I got, are made of the softest linen imaginable... and the mandarin orange is lickable.. lol. I like the Limey one, but only with a purple shirt that I have... lol.

I must be colour blind. It's a good day when I don't work..lol. We are closed till Jan

I just did a look with Tentation Cuivre - my first time out with the European formula, and using this quad (yes, I am very far behind) - it came out great, but my camera didn't capture the colors AT ALL. None of the pics came out, so I have to fiddle around with the settings to see what I might be able to do.......the darkest aubergine/brown is waaaay pigmented, but I used the light cream/pinky color - not the pink - to blend it all out, and it turned it a bit more plummy, which I love. I really like that quad!!! Lined with Cassis topped with the aubergine color, finished off with Orchid Rose blush, Mythic ls and Constellation gloss.....very nice look with focus on the eyes.....wish the photos came out.....boo.

^ Sounds lovely Shypo. I have that quad too, and have yet to use it although with you about the darkest colour -- when swatched it was really dark but rich looking.

That's awesome! Enjoy your time off, you totally deserve it.

Buying the property sounds fabulous! What an amazing time you'll have over there in your own place.

Thanks MEg.. I know I will.. and it's time for me. Jeff and I had always planned it, now I am going to execute it.. although I won't live there full time yet, needs a lot of renovation and work since it's about 150 years old.

This picture is SO helpful, thanks much!
Look how gorgeous Flamboyante is!!! It looks like a bit of strawberry jam squeezed out of an english muffin and landed on your hand there...I LOVE it! I was so busy with things prior to Christmas I forgot to order it with that free shipping on Chanel's site (doh!). I'll be heading out to the mall sometime this week and hopefully I can pick it up then.

That made me so hungry, damn!

I thought you were going to lick it off my hand

But yes, it does look like that ;) You should go check it out.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday dear! You deserve it!

I've been back and forth about Flamboyante. I haven't tested it on me to see how it's going to translate. My fave SA at Chanel tells me to trust her... that it'll be gorgeous on. I think I shall. I'm going to swatch it (and maybe buy it) this week.

Sounds like I should have gotten the Taupe duo when I was being naughty on my spending spree! I love taupe-y neutrals for eyes.

Today Jersey Rose is looking more peachy on me -- it is chameleon like -- sometimes more pink, sometimes peachy . . . I love that it is so versatile.

I topped Mythic RA l/s with Muscat glossimer yesterday and it has got to be one of my fave nude lipstick looks of all time. The Rouge Allure formula is definitely my fave. Need more ideas of RA lippies (those blasted online swatches do me no good!!).

Susanne -- you will love the Spring collection. So pretty and wearable!

Of the entire collection... The quint, the nude gloss and the blush are MUST HAVES imo. Pearl Drop nailie is the hidden treasure of the bunch... Black Pearl is expectedly fabulous. I cannot say enough about that blush... I got two! It's just a stunning peach on me. I love it even more than 'In Love' if that's possible! The eyeliner is unexpectedly awesome. I didn't think I was going to like it... but I really do. The quad was 'blah' to me. I've seen all those colors before... it didn't really move me.

Cheryl!!! So nice to see you on here! You will definitely have to let us know what you end up getting.

Michelle, is that a time-out from buying make-up?!

And can I just say that I love all you ladies?! You are all so sweet. Cheryl, you're absolutely right about a nice family dinner around the table. It's a big part of the reason we moved! Our last place wasn't too small, but the layout was pretty poor and we really felt it when we had people over. It is just so scary investing in furniture, especially when it comes to a dining set. We wanted to do it once and do it right. We're just hoping we got the right size table, lol!

LOL -- yes it is a lil' time out from buying so much makeup -- But we'll see how long that lasts

I hope you love all of your new furniture. So exciting. I'm sure it will all come together beautifully!

Cheryl, so good to see you here again! :)

elegant, thanks for the comparison swatches of the l/s. Flamboyante is in my list.

I agree, I should have bought Delicate-Taupe too. I never got down to it! I asked for it once to really buy it at the counter, but it was out of stock, and after that I lost the urge to buy it. I'm pleased to hear JR is so versatile, maybe I need it too. I agree about the RA lippies too, I love them, even the fragrance. I used to dislike the scent but it grew on me and now I'm addicted to it. I love Mythic too.

I plan to go to Nordie's on Friday to check out the new MAC collections (and I have to say, most of the new MAC is a pass for me! Maybe one of the lip gelees and a couple of the new paint pots, but other than that, little appeals to me) and Chanel lippies.....anxious to try the lippies out.....and maybe pick up the Pearl Drop np.

I don't know if anyone else read it -- but Amy wrote a piece today, which I found very interesting.

In it she relates to the abominable and horrific experience of buying Chanel through their own website -- and what miserable service they give... which is one of the reasons why I have also cut back on many Chanel purchases.

I am glad for all of you who did not encounter these problems -- but any purchases I make for Chanel will be directly through Chanel stores in vivo , or thru Nordstrom/Saks/Neimans.

Shypo, with your colouring, do try the MAC fluidline Dark Diversion -- it should be stunning on you!

MissQQ - you will have to let me know if you ever get around to getting the Taupe duo also. There are always so many things on my list -- I forgot about the duos for a while also!

Cheryl -- let us know what you pick up at MAC. I agree, there are only a few things I was wanting. Maybe because I just have so much -- these days I am being more selective! I love the looks of Pearl Drop -- can you believe I don't own any Chanel n/p?? I am afraid if I get one, a new obsession will form. So fun having you back on here

HerGreyness -- I just read Amy's piece. That would be incredibly frustrating! I agree they need to improve their customer service online (especially since I am at the mercy of online retailers for my Chanel).

Hope you all are having a great Wednesday!!

I bought several things from this collection, this is the first one where I bought more than just a glossimer here and there. I was disappointed in Flamboyante only because I'm super pale and it was so bright on me. It would be a good color if I went out at night to like a bar or club, but since I don't (mainly bc I work second shift) I could not justify purchasing it.

Nakkar is my new HG lip gloss. I was convinced when I saw it on Cafe Makeup--so gorgeous. I got it today as a reward for working on my dissertation for 2 days. It really brightens up the face.

I've heard that it's permanent--is that right?
