MAC - Wonder Woman Discussion

Since I'm another March child, I'll definitely be spending all my birthday money on this collection.
I love the packaging, no matter if it's a prototype or fake. And I'm even enthralled by the ginormous lipglass, haha.
However that first quad did absolutely nothing for me. I have higher hopes for the cheek colors and lipsticks, for sure!

I never watched or read Wonder Woman as a comic - that's why I don't like the whole concept I guess.

Me too! Never even heared of WW until few years back. So I don't care if MAC makes a WW collection or not and what the packaging looks like (don't like it). If I'll buy something that's purely because of the products inside the packaging.

!!! Ran online as soon as I saw this SO.... Seventeen magazine (which i'm not a teen anymore but I love it none the less) featured one of the new Wonder Woman quads!!!! It's the Defiance Quad ($40) and sorry i'm a new MAC fan so i'm not sure if any of the colors are repromotes or dupes, so i'll just describe them. There is a burgandy/eggplant color (and looks like there may be sparkle), magenta, baby pink (almost a kinda white pink) and a peachy pink in this quad. The packaging looks pretty close to Princessebeaudy's. Only difference I saw was the inside panel is a gold color and there's a mirror. Not sure on the label since Seventeen didn't show that. But the red and blue parts are the same.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. Definitely have to see swatches for the eggplant and magenta colors before i'll know for sure. But i'm very excited to see something official from the WW collection.

Gah! I just decided to let my subscription to Seventeen run out..... Was it in this month's? I may have to go to a store tomorrow and ogle the pages...

Thanks for the head's up! Those colours actually sound like they would be good for me and they sound like they could be different than what I have now. Plus, since I'm not getting the Caviar Dreams or Athma quads, I'm feeling quad-deprived at the moment.

Oh I'd like to see a pic of the quad too. The use of gold in the packaging would make sense since WW has gold in her costume! Red, Gold, White & Blue...

Yes, it just came out and It's for February's issue. I'd definitely go check out, it's on page 44-45. It actually was a whole pic article on new upcoming makeup for spring. Don't know if there's any OPI fans here but they're colaberating with Katy Perry the polishes look really fun and cute.

Anyways, here are some pictures I took with my cell phone, they're not going to come out great at all but unfortunately I can't find my camera

Thanks for the pics! I won't be buying that quad because I wouldn't use the brightest pink but I think the packaging is pretty cute. It says the quad is $40 so that gives us an idea of the licensing markup for this collection.

Thanks for the pics! Unfortunately, I think I'll be skipping all the quads in this collection. I like mine to be uniform and I prefer the square quads to the dame edna/hello kitty line ones. Gorgeous shades nonetheless.

I'm feeling MAC quad deprived too!!!

I'm skipping Caviar Dreams and Athma, and all of these seem like a bust to me so far too...blah! I'm thinking I'll make my own quad soon and get a few more perm eyeshadows off my always long wish list.

way to go Meg.. I have about 20 quads -- all made up of my own favourite colours. I rarely buy a quad from anyone except Chanel or Guerlain now... I look at quads as my mini on the go palettes.

Thanks for posting the pictures! So far I've seen the blue and now the pink quads and I don't need any of these colors...bummer

I hope the 3rd quad is the one for me! $40 is a little steep but I do like this style of quad with the mirror. Guess I have to wait & see....

Ya The pink quad just dosnt do much for me either.....looks like the 3rd one in is realllyy similar to plum dressing, and i have plenty of pinky cranberry shades.
