MAC Freelancing Training

So Iʻve been a freelancer for a year and half now, and all of us freelancers were told that weʻd all start our training next month. Weʻve never had training sessions for freelancers before. Iʻm thinking this is something new, but has anyone else had freelancer training sessions? Or has anyone heard about freelancing training starting up in their areas? Iʻm wondering if this is a new standard.

Our freelancers never trained when I was with mac...I wonder if you'll be sent to the update trainings?

When I used to freelance they sent me to this one day orientation thing which was a full day of learning basic products/ customer service. I remember it was a training that only selected people would go(Im guessing most active freelancers?) However it was just one day. Freelancers dont go to update or basic training.

Oh yeah. I did that too, the one day training thing. But this is something different. I did that one day training when I first got hired 18 months ago. But this is a training thing for all freelancers, including the freelancers that used to be permanent. So maybe it's just a new thing in my area.

Sorry, havnʻt been on here forever. But the training went well. It was more of an update than a training. And the freelancers in my area now go to update, but not basic training. I think this was something that one of the mangers really pushed for because she felt that a lot of the freelancers we're ill informed when new launches came out and she wanted everyone to be on the same page. But yeah, this just started this year.

That's great! I wish the managers in this region would push that for the freelancers. I really think it would be helpful for them. I had to learn about the products on my own, through this website and some others. They have since hired me as a permament employee so I will get to go to basic training and updates. I'm really excited.
