I am clearly crazy. I thought today was Wednesday, but it's Thursday. I was supposed to get my order today but I was asleep and I guess no one else was in the house. Unusual. Well, UPS is supposed to come back tomorrow. I'm bummed out. I have a storm door that they can put the package behind. Some of them do and some of them don't. Blaaah!

OMG I love, love, love Mighty Aphrodite. The packaging is very true and inspired by the 70's early 80's comic book/super hero toy. It is straight up plastic, but very cute, nostalgic and fun. Looks just like a damn happy meal toy. But it works, lol. Gold star for MAC there. FYI: the gold part of the compact is glued in, so depotting to interchange may not be an option without loosing product.

So I start to swatch on my hand, and I am like, WTF is this light colored chalky powder? I used a 139 to swatch the light side, and it started off being very powdery. I am like like ewww. What in the world???? So I tried it on my face, and that is where the magic happened. Instant glow. Very, very subtle shimmer. This color is beautiful. I want to say it has some duochrome-ness going on. Seems like the more I apply, the darker it gets, but not in an obnoxious, too much blush way. Look for the color changes if you can, cause one moment you can see the light gold, maybe some warm yellow, and then the next second you see the peach/coral. I used the darker side to buff some more coral in. I see the coolness of the pink in there as well. Please keep my skin tone in my signature in mind while reading this review, because on ladies, with much lighter skin, it may show up darker on you in the beginning. Also, a few swipes to swatch on the hand really don't do any justice to how it looks in action. Definitely try it on if you can


Ripe Peach has nothing on this one, cause on me RP had no depth, no texture. Mighty Aphrodite is so much better. Its beautiful. I may get a back up. 2010 it was BoA. 2011, its all about Mighty Aphrodite (so far) Happy Hauling!

Yeah my MA said to never watch blushes on the hand. I'm so glad you love it. I was thinking it wouldn't show up on my skin tone, but there is hope! Enjoy it!

So my paycheck finally went in, but it was less than expected... so now I'm trying to decide what I want. Funnily enough, MA wasn't even on my radar, but now that everyone seems to be loving it I kinda want it?? But is that just me wanting it because everyone else wants it, or because I think it's pretty?? Well since it's sold out on the site now, I won't be getting it from there either way. I could call and pre-order at the Nordies Counter.... hmmm..... maybe I'll just wait until next weekend since we'll be in that area anyways going out to celebrate Valentine's Day early, and if it's still there by then, I'll get it.


ugh. I still can't make up my mind..... help? I'm sick today and I'm not thinking clearly.

I can't wait to try out Mighty Aphrodite! with Marquise D' lipstick. If MA is duochrome, then that will make me squeel for joy. haha

Too many people (blogs I read) are saying that MA is the item to have this entire collection if you want to buy something so I say get it while you still can...just in case. I'm not enabling, but this happens every time a new collection comes out. If the powers that be say this is the one and it works for my skin tone I get it. I say it's better to get it, not like it and return it (I try not to return anything, but it happens sometimes) than to take that chance and not get to try it at all.

So far I only ordered MA blush. Coral/peach blushes are my fav, plus I love WW. I may get a MSF and the tote when they add the tote. Or I may just check out the MSF instore soon. I am still deciding. If I only get the blush that would be cool too.

Aw, Elegant. What the hell??! That happened to me when I ordered the Stila barbie palette from Zappos. I had to send the crumbled one back, though before I got a new one. I'm sorry yours arrived like that.
