OK ladies and gents, I'm positive that someone here can help me out! I tried the blue mascara and just like I thought I got just a hint of color due to my dark lashes. I tried a bit of Prep & Prime Lash underneath but because it's a relatively clear base I didn't get the results I wanted. So anyone have any ideas for a product that will "white out" my lashes? I'm guessing I need to do this for the color to really show. Thanks everyone!
Try to put a base (ie bare study, soft ochre, or even painterly p/p ) on your lashes to "lightening" them up first and then apply the colored mascara . . . HTH

Hm... Really depends on what you're looking for. PP is much more subtle- it's fairly muted on me and I'm NC15 (although it can be built up). GL is much more a summery golden-bronze colour. It pops on my cheeks, but would probably be more subtle on yours. If you want a basic, everyday healthy glow, go with PP. If you want something warmer and more sun-kissed, go with GL. I think there are some swatches in the swatch thread... HTH a little...

Im an NC 30 too and I choose Pink Power for a more of an every day wear since it was my first MSF. Golden Lariat would be more suitable for summer time in my opinion. Both are really lovely though.

How does Mighty Aphrodite compare to NARS Orgasm and Deep Throat?

I have Orgasm and they are quite different. Mighty Aphroditey is SUPER pigmented on NC20 skin. I had to go out and buy a desklamp so I could see better. I went outside and my cheeks were sooo bright! Orgasm is definitely more muted. I cant comment on how different it looks on your skintone, but orgasm pulls a lot more peachier and lighter on me. Mighty aproditey is very warm pink.

I returned the green opulash. The color is actually very green when you use a white primer. I use the MAC one <3 with a coat of the fiber primer from Hard Candy. However, I just did not like the formula. It was so dry and was very hard to coat my lashes. Even with primer, my lashes weren't as dramatic as I'd like. I like Zoomlash, but it can clump if you try to layer it. The volume is quite good with a primer underneath.

Thanks, Babylard. :) I think I'm NC25 (I haven't tried any of MAC's foundations but I got myself matched one time and NC25 is the closest). I have both Orgasm and Deep Throat and I thought if they're similar, I can skip MA because I'm trying to stick to a budget.

yes i agree - MA is much more pigemnted than orgasm blush. I am nc20 and with orgasm i dont have to use a light hand whereas with MA i do. the first time i tried it i got clown cheeks! hee hee! :) And of course orgasm does have a very slight shimmer whereas i cant see one with MA.

Should I still get MA, then? Arghhh, I've been going back and forth on this for quite some time now. I pre-ordered some items from WW and I left MA out thinking that it's a similar peachy pink shade to my NARS blushes but after reading everyone rave about it, I'm kicking myself for not getting it. My last chance is going to the mall as soon as it opens on the day that WW launches here because we usually get so few items. I'm trying to avoid purchasing the much hyped limited edition items here, hence the pre-order because VV launch here got so craaazy! I went to 3 store launchings just to get the products I wanted (but still wasn't able to get everything) and had to fall in line for 4 hours. I'm hoping that WW will be less traumatic. My MAC MUA told me they have a strictly no reservations policy for WW to prevent what happened to VV.

i'm on the fence about MA too. i have soooo many pink/peachy blushes, enough to last a lifetime.
i'm not sure it's unique enough...

yeah if you have plenty of items others that are similar that you know you would never use up then i guess you should skip. :) as hard as it is!!

Thanks for the suggestion. :) Maybe I'll get it if I'll have some extra cash come March.
