MAC Quite Cute Discussion

I'm with you! I loved Sugarsweet, it was my first MAC collection that I bought things from! Although I missed out on the lipsticks, because I was only into lipgloss at the time. Now I'm a lipstick freak. I even get more excited about it than eyeshadow sometimes, although that's because MAC hasn't come out with any decent singles in a normal size in awhile. I'm really hoping the lipstick colors from this collection will be wearable on my pale skin. I really, really want Playing Koi to work on me especially, although I have no idea why! I just really want a pale peachy corally color that works on my skin. The colors are all just so cute, who cares if they are practical

I probably like them so much, because they look like the colors my favorite artist uses: Miss Kika!

i was pleased it's like sugarsweet 2.0. but i guess everybody likes different things right? :)

well the lipsticks in this collection are awesome looking so you should get yourb fill here! and weirdly the glosses were the part of sugarsweet i skipped! i wasnt a fan of the layer effect because i knew they'd mix eventually and look funny!

I skipped the lipglasses from Sugarsweet too, they looked so unpigmented! However, I love my Aquavert eyeshadow to death, and along the way I have picked up Stars N' Rockets and Club since they were permanent. I really wish I had grabbed up Sweet Thing and Lollipop Loving while I had the chance though :(

Thing is, I want to go out and do those things but truthfully, I rarely put on makeup.
I've been trying to get back into it, but lately I've been depressed.
I buy make up to make me feel better, when I get it, it's the initial excitement and then that's it.
Awww I'm so sorry. I've been feeling the same way lately too, well maybe longer than lately. When I'm home I spend way more time looking at makeup on mac, sephora, clearance bin & lj that I can buy than playing with it on my own face. Then when I finally get my packages I get super happy then never use them. I'm trying to be better though. I put myself on a semi-no buy so I can stop using that as a crutch and I'm trying to take better care of myself, going to the gym and pampering, so hopefully I won't need to buy all that stuff anymore.

You know, that's a pretty good idea and I think that's what I'm going to start doing! Although, I'd be too shy to show what I did on here, lol.

I hope it works for you! I know I have a problem so I've decided that it's time for me to go to Church. Hopefully, this will be a way I can release all my bottled up emotions and finally feel like I can let go of the hurt, depression, and finally just be content with myself.

I've also been dealing with some pretty depressing stuff since last march and ironically thats when my makeup obsession started. It seems like the only thing that helps is the 'high' I get when purchasing makeup (which is what Glamour magazine refers to it as). The only problem is coming home and still feeling depressed. I kinda hate that I've let myself be like this for a whole year.

I will certainly show you all esp if this ends up being what I think/hope it's going to be (an LW dupe if you didn't read previous post!) ! It's from the Joe Fresh cosmetic line... which I believe is only Canadian and I don't think it's sold online unfortunately.. but I was thinking if it's what we're all looking for, I'd be snatching up a few for you ladies as well if interested :)

So apparently it's not letting me edit my last post.. grrr! but I just wanted to say that I actually just read on a blog that the Joe Fresh cosmetics line is coming to the states in Fall 2011! http://www.pammyblogsbeauty.com/2011/01/joe-fresh-style-cosmetics-lipstick.html (I personally love the Shu style packaging)
On Topic : I can't wait for QC! I have cut my list down to just one thing from this collection and that's the Sakura blusher... I think everything else is a safe skip for me. I'm trying to be a little sensible.. let's hope this holds strong!

[/quote] Right :) Don't get me wrong, Sugar Sweet was a great collection, but I think it would be better to bring out not as many collections and be a bit more creative. And I still think Sugar Sweet was the better collection (except the glosses), it has MSF and Shadesticks :D i hope you girls are feeling better soon :)
