Cheryl -- sounds like you had an awesome shopping day! So fun! Can you believe I haven't even started my depotting yet?? I need to run get some empty palettes from MAC -- but I probably will wait until my kids are on Spring Break, so I have plenty of time to get through it all.

Elegant -- too funny about the mall escapade! It is so easy to move from one department to the next without keeping track of time. I wanted to hit the mall today, but have other places I have to go (dang it). But excited to have greek food with the fam at a friend's for dinner tonight. Shopping will have to wait until Monday, I guess!

Hiya BlahWah,
My wishlist started growing since I've joined this thread, but I don't mind! I'm loving all the recommendations from the lovely ladies on here about great products that are out there.

I'm joining in with Bis and wishing everyone a fab weekend! Mine has been good so far! I have gone on a shopping trip to another city with my sis and had some drinks and crazy dancing afterwards

I've seen the new Dior Addict lipsticks, but didn't really get to test them out. My first impression is that they are more pigmented, but less glossy than Coco Shines. The choice of colours is insane!
And my new love is MUFE Aqua Creams! That stuff is amazing. I really need to get some ordered from the US though, because they are too expensive here.

I've just had a look on Chanel website for a few other countries, and it looks like we will have country-specific colours. This sucks! :(
In France they have "Flying Cloud", "Misia" and "Escale", but don't have "Sari d'Eau", "Rivage", "Elise", like Holland and Belgium does.
Canada gets Romance, Royallieu and Misia, so there is a variation of about 3 colours for different countries.
This makes me think that the US are going to get the colours, as those on Karla's chart.

Thanks for the info Elena! It sounds like you have had a lovely weekend with your sister - the crazy dancing sounds like fun!

I'm glad things are settling down for you - it does help to come on here and forget about your troubles for awhile, doesn't it? It's too bad the Euro version of TJ Maxx isn't as good - the company (which also owns Marshall's and Home Goods) is headquartered near me - sometimes I think we get a lot more 'good stuff' than other areas of the country. I know they don't have as many stores down south. I try to get in there about every 2 weeks to see what I can find. Yes, it is disgusting that your TK Maxx sells opened items!!

I really want to see what Flying Cloud is all about - it sounds so intriguing.....perhaps we'll get an opportunity to see it. I wonder if HG will try to snag some of the European colors while she's over there? Looking forward to hearing how her sojourn went - and I hope she is able to get some shopping in!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday - I hate how quickly the weekends go! Tomorrow is church and then to Cheesecake Factory (yummy) for brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday (which was last month

). Should be fun but filling.......there's a waffle with strawberries there calling my name........

I was checking the chart and I'm pretty sure that the ones we have here are different- Antigone isn't on there, for one. I know it was mentioned earlier that there might be different versions of these collections for Europe and the US, so it looks like Canada got the European version, or at least, the version that's different from the chart.

STV- Sorry to hear you had a bad week... I know how much work problems can weigh on you, even when you should be able to just leave everything behind at the office and enjoy the rest of your life. You have all my sympathy.

Thanks for the friendly welcome! My wallet is crying but I'll deal with it later...

I'm still overwhelmed by all the shades - I've been into MAC so long I dont' even really have to think about shades until a new collection comes out, and with that it's only a few at a time. The first RC I wanted to try out was Mademoiselle as I loved how it looked in the ads. Since then I've been introduced to Boy (I asked for the one in the ad and didn't know the RC Shines had just come out) and have wondered about Jersey Rose (is that used in the Spring Collection ad?), Egerie, Perle, Cashmere and Organdi Rose. Originally I'm looking for a nice easy-to-wear to keep in my purse for those (many) days I go out with barely anything on my face as baby routine takes over make up routine. I'm still leaning to Mademoiselle since it's not too muted and can be worn so nicely full on or blotted to something like a stain. It's the only one I've tried tho. I was able to get a sample card of the RC Shines so I'm looking forward to that, and I just got the RC samples off of eBay (probably overpaid but at least I get to try out 4 colours!). I'm going to ignore the Shines for now, unless Boy turns out to work really well on me. =D

I heartily recommend Jersey Rose. It's a lovely colour, suitable for everyday wear. It's one of my staples for going to job interviews or clients meetings.

I know what you mean about being overwhelmed. I was a dedicated Mac girl until fairly recently, in much the same situation as you- I didn't even have to think about it until a new collection came out. Then I started discovering some of the higher end brands- particularly Chanel- and I've been more doomed than ever. Welcome aboard. I think we may have to start a subforum for our wallets to get together and cry... It's a common problem.

Welcome! My wallet is crying too, but my makeup bag is very excited.

I think learning all of the new shades is fun-- I always feel like I've made some sort of discovery!

Hello everyone! I Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Sunday is almost over in Spain and I am sitting in front of my pc doing some research. I had the chance only to go to one Chanel counter lasta Firday and they didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked about the RC Shines, but believe me, it is always the same in this place
noworry.gif

I have looked into Chanel.es and there is no info on the Shines being released anytime soon, so I think I may stop by the trustable Chanel counter someday next week. I'll try to get as much names as I can so we can crossreference if we have some exclusive shade in here, hehe.

On the other hand, and totally OF, why oh why, weekends are over so fast?
I tried on Saturday as well and was told they should be around soon. I am really interested to see which colours we will get as from what Elentje said we get different colours per country. Good question about the weekends, I think we should make Friday free as the name implies :D

BlahWah -- Just like Katred said -- I think you would really like Jersey Rose. It is a soft pink with a bit of peach. I also love Magnolia -- it was LE, but you might be able to get your hands on it. My favorite formula is the Rouge Allures

I know..me too. Maybe it's a good thing we won't be getting every one here! Anyway, many of them do look awfully similar to each other on the arm swatches we saw the other day so we can probably be happy with less of them than we think?

Hehe, I would be so up for that! :) I'm free on Thursdays because of my studies, and Thursday is really a great day to have off :) If I would be able to, I'd keep working 4 days a week, even if it'd mean Id have less money to spend, because it's nice to have an extra day to get the things done, get to sleep in a bit and be free, while everyone else is working, hehe. But at work they can't wait til I go back to the 5-day working week.

Bis, since the stuff is already on the French website, I'd expect the French counters to already have the Shines? The Dutch website got updated just recently, while the lipsticks have been on sale since last Monday.
Yeah, Almus, I did check the Spanish website too, but no word of Shines just yet, neither is there anything on the UK website! I was hoping to pick up some stuff at London Luton airport duty free next week, but it'll have to wait until the next time. Jersey Rose is on my list too!

I forgot how fast threads grow! I missed a whole page from my last post. =P I feel like a hybrid poster-lurker with my viewing/posting pace...

For Jersey Rose I was wondering if it would be too bright, or if I already have something similar with my MAC lippies. If I make it to the mall tomorrow I'll try to compare colours. Of course, Chanel wins with the formula hands down! Magnolia... what shade is it? Are there swatches somewhere? Uh-oh, my wallet fears a Chanel LE hunt... I've been off of my MAC LE hunt for a good 3 years now and when it was on it wreaked havoc on my budget! But as mentioned, Chanel hardly has LE, thankfully!

The good thing is I have a while to settle down on my one treat (or is that to multiply it? =P). We're hoping to make a Buffalo road trip in April with the baby as a small family getaway and I'll be buying my lipstick then. I'd be saving about $10!! =S Oh Canadian prices...and taxes!

stv, the shimmer in Boy shows up a bit on me, but I definitely get more color than shimmer or shine on my lips. Here are some nice pics of a few Shines:

http://www.makeupalley.com/m_122368051

The Canadian and French Chanel web site swatches are pretty nice and show the differences in shade availability:

http://www.chanel.com/fr_FR/parfums-beaute/Maquillage-Rouges-à-Lèvres-ROUGE-COCO-SHINE-120999
Thanks for the heads up! I love Royallieu, Flying Cloud and Escale - they look like the pretty nude pinks. But I wonder if they will show up on my lips. These are location exclusive shades right? Hope to see skin swatches and I'm wondering what shades I'll see at my counter.
A while I ago I did the same, just working 4 days a week and studying the 5th. I just checked and it is also on the German Chanel website, so I guess my Chanel counter is just a bit late. They expect to get it this week, so I might show up again there soon ;)
