I just ordered Ruby Silk and Rose Petale from the Lancome site....and used the coupon code. It didn't ask for my b-day (I checked out as a guest). I can't believe that's what they're giving away! That formula must not be doing as well as the RA formula, but who cares? I can't wait to get them! I ordered 2 in order to get free shipping. What is it about having to pay for shipping? I spent $29 to avoid paying $5. That's like stepping over a dollar to get to a dime. What am I, stupid? Actually, I like the 2 colors quite a lot. It was a toss-up between those and the 5-color eye palette in Sultry Sienna.......but then I would have had to spend $2 more to get free shipping!

I like to buy with FS all the time .. since I don't have normal hours and really get grossed out with testers, I just buy or call.. if saves me time and money for gas (which is going thru the roof btw).

I shopped my stash earlier and found that I have several colors that today I was tempted to get (they were GWP which somehow make it into my bag courtesy of my favorite MUA, and since I'm usually a MAC or Chanel lip snob, they get tossed in the lower end of the makeup caste system

).....I had Amande Sucree (x3), Creme de Marron, Wannabe, Framboise, Pink to the Club, Boiling Point, Crystal Pink and Trendy Mauve. Jackpot! I guess I figured I'd hang on to them to give to my niece. Not any more.......

Notes to self: 1. Shop stash before buying new; 2. Next time pay attention to lipstick in the Lancome gift......

I am the same way! I don't like paying for shipping. I really want the limited L'Absolu rouge colors in Lily Rose and Daisy Rose. I should have added those to my cart ('cause you know, getting 7 lipsticks isn't enough).
I spent so much time in MAC getting birthday gifts for my sisters (I am trying my darndest to turn them into makeup addicts). I didn't have as much time to check out the other counters. I'll have to go back when I don't have 3 little girls with me

I prefer to shop online tbh... it is so time saving for me -- I can do it in bed in my pjs, on my desk, anywhere.. I much prefer it and since I more or less know the colours, I have rarely been disappointed.

I have made mental notes to myself when I purchase something, but then I always find a lovely person to give it to if I have more than I need, or if it did not suit me to a T.. my niece is always getting lovely products, as well as her sisters and friends etc.

I figure that if God gave me the ability to make a good living, I can provide some fun or pleasure to those I care about.

speaking of which, I have a date in a while.. and no it's not the Argentinian loco, it is a lovely man I met at a brunch a few weeks ago. Apparently he kept calling me when I was out of town and got my voice mail -- and yesterday the phone rang and since I was hanging loose (here, shopping on line and catching up with sleep) he called

and we agreed to meet for dinner later.. I am almost leaving now. He seems lovely and is practically a neighbour !

a black/blue/white striped blazer -- very lightweight and boy style
a black/cream mickey mouse T shirt in silk
a black pair of capris very close cut/skinny leg but short
a pair of black oxfords -- lol I love my oxfords and loafers with long skirts now
a navy blue lace dress cut like a T -- works as a cool dress or a jumper with T shirts/blouses
a navy blue blouse with tuxedo style pleats in front
a cream colour blouse same as the navy
a red dress -- very simple and elegant
a pair of denim espadrilles

Neiman's loves me, Nordstrom loves me.. and so do some boutiques.. lolol.

!!!! I think I went insane.. but, what the hey, life is short..

And I know you are so generous with those around you - they are very blessed to have you in their lives! You're one of a kind!! Make sure the new 'dates' know how to appreciate that! If they don't, the Ratonas will be hunting them down like dawgs.........

Michelle, you're so lucky to have little 'shopperettes' to accompany you! Some days I'm very blue that I didn't have girls.....and my niece is far away and not very accessible (her mother smothers her and seems to build up barriers to anyone else getting close). She's into makeup, so I have to be content to send her Bare Escentuals, which she loves. I just wish I could spend some time with her. Oh well, maybe she'll 'discover' me when she gets older and out from behind mom's fence.

I just got back from the CCO where I picked up a couple of things - Flower Mist Dew (Ungaro collection), BB Blondie Pink l/s, Lithe pigment, Marcel Wanders l/g in Aleydis, Blow Dry l/s, and a b/u of Style Influencer MES (love that combo - I use the rose and 'white' colors all the time). They had gotten a shipment in since the last time I was there so was happy to see some things I don't have. If anyone has any 'wants', I'll be going to the other one near my office this week - I can check for you. The one in CT had all of the In the Groove MES and mineralized blushes, many pigments and e/s. Not many l/s today for some reason - they usually have a lot. They had Delft and Coral Crepe p/p. Oh, and they had the honey collection - salve and all. They also had several quads - In the Gallery, Tone Grey, Tempting, Shadowy Lady, and Photo Realism.

I heard that Blush was a gorgeous nude pink -- so I need to check on both of those -- as well as Lilac that you and Elegant are loving. That is too bad about your niece being far away and her mom kinda preventing her from being close to other people. I bet as she gets older she will seek you out! I have 2 sisters and we still do trips with our Aunt, who is one of our favorite people. You two will probably do all kinds of fun stuff

lemme see.. I work first and foremost, my new Joyeuse ls, Smokey eye quad but played low just well lined with PA to define a bit and my Narcisse on top..who is he.. well, I swear I couldn't pick him out in a line up

very nice, very simple.. just a nice person. A bit too modern age for me tho.. I like cave men style.. lolol. Not kidding either.. Jeff was a tall guy, muscular build.. and every man I ever went out with has been tall but not dark and handsome.. just tall. When I wear heels, I am over 5'10 and if I wanna dance with Woody Allen (who I love because of his wit only.. ahem), his nose would be right in my boobs

this guy is about my height with heels on maybe a 1/2 taller.. grr. but a nice person -- we have major issues on food tho.. lol.
He doesn't eat meat.. err, I am like a Tigress on the prowl = I gotta have my meat every once in a while. He eats tofu.. arghhhhhhhhhhhh..

I went out, yes... I was bored rigid now that I think about it. I like to eat - meat, seafood - clams, oysters so fresh that they scream when you squirt them with lemon and hot sauce..lol. I could not date someone again who is squeamish about clams.. gimme a breakkkkkkkkk.

As for the farting hippo.. every April's fool, Jeff gave me a tricky treat -- so I have a farting pig, a squealing rubber chicken, assorted stink bombs (long story but I threw a few once.. lol), and all sorts of gadgets. That is why I loved him so.. he was a straight up man, and yet a kid to have fun and play with. It is these times when I realize how much I miss him. I am also terrified of any relationships now.. but frankly a boring dinner, I can pay for myself. Jeff always told me that life must be lived.. not observed... and I am fully living again.
btw, I am an avid fan of CSI, Dexter and all sorts of degenerates.. lol
