Chanel Summer 2011

I picked up Iron Maiden the other day. Love it. May have to get more of these. Definitely thinking about getting Golden Dragon.

My Chanel MA (at Nordies) says we should start to see Summer at the counters in the first 2 weeks of April. I can't wait!

April, I love Iron Maiden.. I bought it originally just for the name, but it has been a real surprise treat. I also like the Dragon -- and maybe will hop on it this weekend.. not sure cause I have been taking inventory of all my sheer/shine ls and I have like 24 to date.. oh fer shame!!

You realise that I've been afraid to count my lipsticks for the last few months because I don't really want to know how many I have? If I remain oblivious, I can still justify getting more...

^^ That Soulful Eyes collection includes a quad (all blues), the 2 single e/s (Twilight & Fauve), a new mascara and new brow pencils. It'll be a real bummer if we don't at least get the mascara and brow pencils.

Are we uncertain at this point whether the US will get this collection?

No idea. I wrote to Chanel thru the web site a long time ago and never got any answer after the acknowledgement.

I've had really good luck writing thru the little form on the web site...right up until this time!

I've never written to them about an order tho, either thru that form (which I wouldn't think would work) or by answering one of their order notification e-mails (which I guess is the way I would go if I needed to write). I just bug them with general questions and comments. I imagine some eyes roll when they see an e-mail from me. lol

i like the look of all the polishes! but i won't get too attached because i know i can't afford anything other than the quad! lol!

I haven't had much luck with Chanel customer service, either. And they seriously need to revamp their swatches on their site -- ridiculous!

Winthrop -- what is your secret to getting a response from Chanel?? LOL

I have been noticed that lately too. I have been into makeup just for one year, so I have lost most of the best MAC collections, but the new ones just seem a bit blah to me. I have discovered myself abandoning MAC for months now mainly because I am not willing to get anxious about so many collections. I will go and get some of the stuff in the permanent line someday on the other hand =)

i've been into mac for about 6 years and i guess maybe i am all mac'd out?! but for now we can enjoy the wonders of Chanel!

I feel the same way. Although I believe that Mac had some excellent collections last year, I feel that they're showing serious signs of starting to slide and repeat themselves. As such, I've been gravitating more towards Chanel and NARS this year, as well as sampling other brands. Chanel and Guerlain had much nicer Spring offerings than Mac, IMHO.

yeah nars is another favourite of mine as well as MUFE! my money shall be spent on other items i guess i wonder when this chanel collection comes out in the uk? do we get it after you guys?

Count me in on showing other brands some love! Even though Mac makes up most of my make up collection, I covet more the items I have from MUFE, Chanel and Nars. I am also quicker to endorse and/or defend those brands. I won't stop buying Mac because they do have great items, but they need to slow down, step back and rethink some of these products/collections. Trying to keep up with them lately has made me late to the Chanel/Nars party! Items are flying right over my head and I feel so late.
