MAC Quite Cute Discussion

My list so far:
- Candy Yum Yum
- Quite Cute
- Playing Koi

I'm still debating Sakura vs. Giggly. I want to see both on a lighter skintone hopefully soon! Sakura seems so unique that it would be nice to add to a collection but pink blushes always win.

I'm also still debating the quad (after seeing it on xSparkage, blogs kill my wallet!)...even though I know I have plenty of pinks and purples.

In the end I think all the lipsticks are really cute!! candy yum yum and play time suits all skintones in my opinion while quite cute is for cooler and playing koi is for warmer ones (of course this is not a rule!!!!)

Wow... I just came back after not being on line much in the last couple of days and now everyone seems to be getting stuff already! I'm looking forward to swatches... Pro stores in Canada & U.S. should ahve the collection Thursday- generally I think the rule is that pro gets everything a week earlier- both on line and in store.

It almost looks like a cross between Myth and Snob. It's like a bright pastel peach, with pink undertones. It's pale but bright..kind of hard to explain.

It depends. In Synch is very very cool toned light pink and the other is a pale light skintone. If you wear lots of pink lipsticks, in synch is nice, but its not nude. In synch under a nude lippie will turn it more pink toned. Naked is a true nude and goes great with anything light. They are both great if you have pigmented lips and cannot wear say, creme d'nude by itself like me. Naked helps with the blue concealer lips. For me, they are both different, so I'd need both. I wear In synch with gaga, cream cup, etc. I wear naked with 3N, creme d'nude, etc

oohh thanks so much for the tip! ill get both then..since im nt getting much from this collection (just playing koi and giggly), ill get the 2 lipliners as well!

Tx for the website. She looks great in all the lipsticks!! I am dying to get CYY, QC & Playing Koi. I am still waiting to see a good swatch of Playtime. I may have to get all four lipsticks.

The quad swatches at ShadesOfYou look good to me! I'm excited about it again. I agree with her theory about the pigmentation. Makes sense.
Quite Cute looks awesome on Sparkage's video, so I'm excited about that one too.
CYY....still iffy its so darn bright! But I cant help but want it!
Now the purple polish is on my list! wheewwhooo....cmon MAC put it up early hehe
I'm def passing on the glasses. Sparkages reaction def turned me completely off to them. I dont like the sharp tingly feeling they give

I got an invitation to the MAC Pro store in Miami Beach, FL for the31st of March for the Quite Cute Collection. I have never been to one of these things all i know is that I had to call in and RSVP, but what do they do there? Like a collection preview, samples, giveaways, discounts on the new collections?

I went to the Tartan Tale Collection party that was held outside of the MAC store at The Grove in Los Angeles (where they film the TV show "Extra" with Mario Lopez) and it was a pretty big production! There were two stages set. On one stage there was a full-on stage production about the "tale" of a Tartan (heehee). There was singing, dancing and acting... the whole bit. On the other stage there were 30 MAC makeup artists doing full makeovers on people. It was quite a site. I took a bunch of pictures but I never posted them on the site (I just sent them to my besties in NY).

The Pro store on Roberston stated they are giving full makepovers to those who RSVP. Discounts? Giveaways? Nahhhh... (heehee)

Alright, I give up. After looking at theshadesofu, I've decided to get Playing Koi. I'm also going to get Boldly Bare and In Synch liners and Candy Yum Yum. I still cannot justify the quad. There are similar, more pigmented colors in other brands. I'm on the fence about Quite Cute. I think it might look nice with this Revlon Lilac Pastel gloss I just bought. However, I can't remember if I still have Lavender Whip or if I gave it away. If I still have it, I can skip QC. ETA: I just found Lavender Whip and it still looks great, so QC can stay where it's at.Plus, there's too much of a white sheen in QC. It's funny, I bought LW right here on Specktra about a year ago and I have yet to wear it outside the house. That's gonna change soon, though.

I'm getting everything except for the pink nail polish, the blushes,and the plushglasses. I don't need a lip plumper plus plushglasses are very sheer. I'm topping them off with dazzleglasses and lustreglasses can't wait!!!!

i just saw the LM eye and cheek palette on Karen's blog which has lilac and pink shades with better pigmentation. i think ill get that instead cause she rated it well.. i wonder if LM does coupon codes or something of a discount..

My little black box is out for delivery and I'm kinda sad I didn't order more before the website closed but I should be sensible. I skipped the lipsticks all together as I doubt any would look good on my quite pigmented lips, and I skipped all the plushglasses as honestly? £16 is a whole load of money for something I'm not 100% on - esp. when I love NYX lipglosses and they're mega cheap. I plan to order Soft and Gentle with maybe In Synch but I think (could be totally wrong here) they're both perm so no rush. I pondering some nice bases to use under the quad too
