em: Hi this is just a general question but my friend lives in canada and she said that her MAC sales associate told her the mac semi precious collection will be out on may 12 is this true? I thought it was in july

I'd honestly prefer the Semi Precious collection be released in early July than in May. Maybe the MAC people were getting confused between Flighty & Surf Baby. I mean, with so many collections coming out, how can't they get confused just like us?
If anyone finds out the real deal, please post for us confused MAC lovers. Thank you!!!!

PS: Just thought, how can Semi Precious be released in May when we haven't even seen any pictures of it yet (except for the shadows)??

I think this is an international release date, there are some people that already have surf USA products. i agree with the july release date..give us a break mac!!

this is how I pictured the brushes in my head. Back to back with different hairs on each side.

I'm glad the release date is still July for us.

I was totally taken aback. she was looking right at the book in front of me. I saw the Name of the collection, the promo image ( a blond girl with dark lips from a profile shot... it was upside down) and they did indeed repeat the date back to me several times.

23 CAD for the eyeshadows.
And as for the brushes, she said they are indeed split in half, but on flat brushes they are split lenght wise, if that makes sense. so on one side, there are one type of bristles running all along the flat part, and on the back end, the other type on that same flat part. The MUA said they were pretty cool actually.

Is it possible that Semi Precious may be a Timed Exclusive for Nordstrom/The Bay like Digipop was last year??

I'm almost positive it won't be because MAC's mineral collection that comes out every year has been in the summer (july) months so it should be online/stores/counters/PRO. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

hmm well its definitely not coming out in asia in may.. SB is planned to come out in May while FF in June.. That will mean Semi-Precious will only be out in July here in Asia..

I called my MAC counter, the MA said it's supposed to come out on May 15th? Than I asked someone on MAC's live chat and they told me it's coming out on July 7th. Maybe the MA got the wrong info?

its ridiculous that they give the MAs proper information. i can imagine them being confused as they get different information from all over the place..tsk tsk.. mac needs proper management..

Since the color story is out, I guess it's ok for me to put up some swatches, I have to say, this collection is way better than style black and VV.. it's my favorite MES collection..
I'll try to come up with more swatches..
WET & DRY , it applied better with base underneath
ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THESE PICTURES ANYWHERE ELSE.. PLEASE KEEP IT HERE.. THANKS VERY VERY VERY MUCH!!!
