Oooh, the Mosaic powder is beautiful!! I wasn't crazy about the Inca powder (even though the wood packaging is stunning), but the Mosaic colors look a little more me.

I got my face did! No mosaic powder at the counter (probably a good thing), but I did end up picking up the adorable little summer palette, with its own mosaic pattern. This is actually my first Guerlain shadow experience... I really am a complete sucker for their packaging and the look of their products. It almost broke my heart to swatch the shadow palette. Still, it seems really nice. The colour payoff on three of the four shades is excellent. The blue is a little light, but seeing what the MUA did with my eyes today (sort of a subtle, smoky look), I can see why being able to build up the intensity of that colour might be desirable.

I posted photos and descriptions and such on my blog here:

I am wowed by the "luminizer" she used. My face is still glowing... I mostly haven't seen the point of such products, but I guess that's the difference between seeing ones that are "meh" and seeing ones that are really good.

Sadly, it still seems that their foundations are a touch too dark for me. the match she got wasn't bad- perhaps it would work in the summer- but I could still see it was a bit off. Too bad, because I really liked the Lingerie de Peau that she used as far as a formula.

Gorgeous! Great that you had fun! The eye quad looks beautiful on you, soft and smoky like you said, and not overly dramatic for day. I like it. The quad looks stunning in your pic, all the details! What is the luminizer she used and did she use any blush or bronzer? Too bad about the foundation not coming in your shade. I saw the 01 shade at my counter though, but I probably can wear 02. Thanks for the heads up on the formula, I'm going to try ask for a sample when I buy the summer collection. Yeah your wallet must be glad that the mosaic powder is not there.

I know I'm in LOVE with the packaging! Think I'd be too scared to use the product as I wouldn't want to ruin the beautiful pattern!

i'm a little bit worried that if i love it, i'll wind up backing it up (pricy!!) just so i can have one to use & one in pristine condition!

Pippa, I hope you mend quickly - I was off of my ankle a year ago for 6 weeks in an effort to avoid surgery to repair a torn tendon and ligament......it's one of those things that is slow to heal, so good luck with it! I hope you're 'on your feet' in no time

.

I have Shalimar and it is a beautiful color - nice and bright but not too OTT. I have Bloom of Rose and Cherry Blossom on my list now, along with another one whose name has escaped me.

I have the Inca bronzer and cannot say enough about it - as you can tell, the packaging is magnificent....and I love the glow it gives me! I use a light hand with it and am extremely pleased with the results!

I hope you ladies are able to get your hands on it!

I backordered the jumbo bronzing powder......I highly doubt I will ever receive it, but it was worth the try....plus, NM has free shipping on any order right now with the code 'FSMAY'.

aww thank you! it's a grade 3 sprain, no more damage than that (thank god, although i get the feeling it'd probably have healed quicker if i'd broken it! silly ligaments) - and i've been told it can take up to 3 months to heal but oh my gosh it's driving me mad. it's been nearly 6 weeks and although i'm gingerly driving & back at work, i am so fed up of sitting around all day, unable to go out and get on with things. thank goodness for online retail therapy!

you know, although i'm convinced i'll never get through the inca bronzer, i kind of want a second one just in case!
th_roll1.gif
it seems to be going down so well with everyone who's had chance to see it so far, and the swatches i've seen are just beautiful. i can see it becoming a staple!

oh nahema's a gorgeous shade! it shouldn't really be an option for me but perhaps if we pull in a good bonus at work i might treat myself to a backup, oh dear!
Good luck on getting the bonus! I just remembered I swatched another shade which I fell in love with, it was in the coral colour family aswell and was called Fluer-something but yeah I think I should stick to buying some lippies instead of a backup - a girl can never have too many lipsticks! ;)

C! did the Inca come out too shimmery on you.. I found it was a bit too shimmery for my taste... but it may be my old leather hide.. lol

I have the Giant.. lol. And don't think I will need another bronzer till I am well into my 90's.

I am still sitting on my hands with the ls.. maybe with free shipping (that old lame buy a 50 item for FS.. lmao)
