looovemac - enjoy the Giant!

Now I really want it after reading all your reviews. But I'm pretty sure it's not available here.
After all the great reviews I really want it aswell but not sure if/ when it will come out here :(

It seems to be "sporadically available". I've seen it at some Guerlain counters and not others, which is just perplexing. I'm wondering if there are certain chains that negotiated an exclusive.

I have 3 counters in my country all within walking distances, minus the one at the airport which I can't access, so I'll check them all out. Not sure if the Giant is also exclusive to certain countries only?

okay, now i've had a chance to play with everything i ordered, my thoughts!

terra inca sublime radiant powder - first impressions are that i like it, but i'm not in love with it enough to back it up, i've decided. although i can see myself using it until it's gone & then regretting this decision... so something i think i will use quite happily now that i've bought it, but something i'm not sure is worth the full price, stunning looks aside. i'm probably a little biased atm as i am in full blown infatuation with dior's aurora bronzer, which is substantially cheaper, so in comparison this struggles a bit! i love the packaging, but is it just me or does anyone else find the magnetic closure very weak? i have to be really delicate with it because the closure feels so flimsy :\ this is definitely one i'm going to be storing in its cardboard box, otherwise i can see the lid sliding off & the product getting damaged (this already happened once, sob! the beautiful imprint is ever so slightly chipped)
baha ombre fusion cream eyeshadow - like this v much, and it seemed to hold quite well on my oily lids. gorgeous colour! definitely tempted to pick up the other two shades :)
terracotta gloss in sable - i like this, but as a gloss it's definitely overpriced for what it is, in my opinion. it's my sort of shade and i'll use it til it's gone, but it's nothing special and not worth the price tag. i'll stick to cheaper glosses!
rouge automatiques - ridiculously in love with the packaging. shalimar is a beautiful shade, albeit a little brighter than i was expecting but so worth it. really happy with that pick, but i'm not liking bloom of rose so much - it's way too frosty on me! so first impressions are not great for bloom of rose, and it's definitely not a shade i would repurchase. i'm in two minds as to whether or not i should just give up on it & sell it, it's that frosty.

^^ Thanks for your review! I will pass bloom of roses because I don't like frosty lips. Sorry that your inca powder is slightly damaged! I will have to be careful if I buy it because I'm so clumsy. I want Havana and I will probably skip the gloss since it is nothing special.

Splurged for the Inca bronzer and Havana. Can't wait for them to come!! I hope I like the Inca or it will have to go back to Sephora. Can't afford to keep a $70 regret. Lol!

I came back with the Inca powder yesterday. It has the beautiful glow when I swatched it that you ladies mentioned. I was careful not to ruin the powder so I placed back the transparent film but I accidentally knocked the film into the edge of the powder and it is slightly scarred now lol. I probably should not be using the film anymore. Didn't pick up any other items, but I may go back for Havana. I want the Terracotta bronzer but I can't decide on which colour. As a brunette, the guerlain website recommends 01 or 03, which look quite muddy on me. but 00 and 02 look more wearable and can be a blush/bronzer. I know the website recommendation is just to take with a pinch of salt.. Maybe I will try 02 on to see how I like it.

I think you should go with one of the lighter TC bronzers if they seem better for your skin colour. Recommendations based on hair colour are predicated on the assumption that blonds are fairer than brunettes, which isn't always true.

I also "injured" my Terra Inca. It almost fell off my vanity when I was putting it on and, although I managed to catch it, one of my fingernails scraped the ultra-soft powder...

Ingenue, I love your blog and you are so beautiful (and have a beautiful name to go along with it!) - I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. He obviously left his mark on you, your family and friends, and that's all any of us really wants...to be remembered fondly. Hang in there! And thanks for the awesome reviews!

MissQQ, so glad you got the Inca bronzer!! I love mine! I also have 00 in the TC version - and it works great for me (I'm also a brunette). I also have Dior's Aurora, so I'm going to be bronzed for years to come!

I also picked up Rose Bengale (Rouge Automatique) and KissKiss lipcolors in Brun Satin (a pretty brownish-plum with multi-sparkles - very subtle) and Rose Strass. Both looked great on my lips, so I couldn't choose between them......

I swatched the glosses, but found them too sheer (I'm a Chanel glossimer snob), but I liked the cream eye shadow quite a bit.

I'm now considering the eye quad......but I'm not sure I would use it a lot........hmmmmmm......something else to add to the list.

^^ Is 00 peachy like Aurore on you? I didn't get to see Aurore in person but it looks peachy. I also think I will not wear the quad a lot so I'll pass. I like the summer glosses a lot. Very tempted to buy one, and the packaging is beautiful. But yeh it is sheer. I can't decide on the cream e/s. I thought I may not be able to blend it out evenly with my finger, because my finger is big as compared to my tiny eyes. Not sure about using a brush for it. Enjoy your new lipsticks! Are the RA scent stronger/weaker than the kisskiss? I don't like the kisskiss scent.

Sorry your Inca is injured too. It is so fragile, we must be more careful with it. Thanks, if I can I'll try 00 and 02 on.

I'm glad you like you Terra Inca powder! I love mine but I am afraid that I'll ruin the pattern considering what a big clutz I am :/

Sooo, I've got that huge mosaic powder in my online cart. I don't know what to do. I am waiting to be enabled by anyone, specifically Ingenue:)haha:). I am not a fan of bronzers, but I did find one I like: Bobbi Brown's matte powder bronzer. Not sure if I need another one, but this one looks so luxurious and awesome. Will it really make enough of a difference on my skin? Will I regret buying it? That's what I'm afraid of. I hate returns. Ah, what to do?

^^ I get the idea that the giant mosiac is a bit shimmery. I haven't seen it in person, so I can't help. Good luck deciding!

I had an accident with my inca powder again yesterday morning. When I was putting the lid back on, it slipped and knocked it's edge near the centre of the powder. Luckily it was just a close knock so only a small dent was made. lol I can't help but laugh at myself. I must work out how to be more smooth when closing it otherwise the powder will be damaged in no time.

If you get the mosaic bronzer, please, please let me know what you think. I really want this but haven't seen enough reviews for darker skin tones. I keep driving past Neiman Marcus but won't stop in to pick it up. I am sure I will break down this weekend to go get it.

Temptalia posted her review of the giant mosaic bronzer! She says the scent of it is overwhelming,
001_unsure.gif
which is unfortunate since you get a freaking enormous amount of product and the color looks quite nice on her.

My Havana cream e/s came in earlier this week and it is lovely! Really stays put and looks great on its own or as a base for a smoky summer eye (love it paired with Woodwinked or Tempting, plus Teddy e/k)!!

^^ Do you blend it out with a brush or finger?

Alisha - Agree about the inca lid. It's so wide it's hard to hold it firmly and aim so it closes properly.
