MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

I usually use a 239 for everything, but I've always gotten the feeling there's another brush out there that'd work way better with all my Mineralize shadows. Maybe the 242 or 249 or 214. I think the LE brushes in this collection will be extra good for them.
Awesome, that's a great description of RO and CCL, thanks.

Karla is the queen of swatches, they're always spot on! Amazing!

My list for now is Golden Gaze, Faux Gold, Dark Indulgence and Smoked Ruby for the MES. I'll take a look at Geo Pink and Warmth Of Coral too and I think that's it for me. :) This is released here tomorrow!

Karla has swatches up of the msf's and mb's!
I really like Pressed Amber. It's such a nice rosey brown. The MSFs look insanely intense - for my taste at least. Pink and Pearl look almost out-of-space-robotic. Pearl looks the most pink! The most wearable, to my surprise, seems to be Goldstone.

It's still all msf's for me! I love pink so i need Rose Quarts and i love Crystal Pink because it's so shiny. I don't have any shimmery golden face powders and Goldstone isn't too dark and has the pretty peach inner ring so that's mine as well. I'll take Pearl as well, because i like the reddish look and i think it will be a pretty blush.
I'm not sure about the brushes anymore. I'm kinda curious how they would work and a part of me wants them, because they are LE.
The blushes i will skip, because i have similar colours. Lipstick are not doing much for me so skip too. I still want to try out the Cremesheen glasses and i wanna get into dark colours so maybe Richly Revered. The mes look pretty, but i'm planning on buying some inglot shadows. I'm more excited to buy those than i am about the mes, so skip too (i think...).

OK OK OK OK OK OK PIARPREET....RELAX!!!!!!!
Got my package today and OMG! loved it faaar more than expected! damn o damn. Unfortunately the pictures can't show the beauty and duo/trio/polychromes of these guys!

Tilt (for comparison) + hint of sapphire + blue sheen + deep truth (for comparison)

Ok so..... hint of sapphire gives a different color depending on where light hits but it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on a pan, sooo wearable and amazing. I suggest this especially (and not limited) to fair cool toned girls for a subtle look, although combined this has a lot of GAME

Blue sheen is NOTHING like deep truth, not only is darker but amazingly diverse in the sense that it has different sparkles. I can see pretty and fine purple sparkle that i can wait to wear as a smokey with something on the lines of nocturnelle, hepcat, or even parfait amour. Beautiful

NEXT: golden glaze + smoked ruby + antiqued (for comparison)

These colors are also very pretty

golden glaze is nothing I have seen before, nothing I can compare it to, cos its so black but so shiny! It's pretty amazing and it looks extremely glamorous. This all over lid with a thick black liner and falsies would be something to die for.

Smoked rudy...damn! I thought it was gonna be like antiqued but damn o damn.... lovely color, super glamourous aswell, pretty wearable and for the gyals with green eyes this will be a killer!. This on the crease with a neutral on lid, liner and some outer lash falsies is something that came to my mind once i saw this!!!!!! prettay!

UP NEXT: humid (for comparison) + night porter by NARS (for comparison) + Dark indulgence

This is the biggest deception. DARK INDULGENCE = NIGHTPORTER & also HUMID OVER A BLACK BASE.
if you have any of those two...dont waste your 20 dollars and invest in something else! It is beautiful but not as unique as the other shades, but again I never got the chance to buy peacocky.

So all those pics were taken with natural light,

now one with flash

All i have to say is: these are amazing look how they apply with ONE SWIPE, NO BASE, AND ALMOST NO FALLOUT!

Highly recommend these. I LOVE this collection. REALLY thinking about getting more hahaha but I should prolly stop being broke, or ill end up eating at mcdonnalds daily and gaining more weight.

Uh, I have absolutely no idea what to get from this collection anymore. All the swatches have confused me more than they helped me make a decision. Now I like Pressed Amber again, but Rose Quartz seems to have too chunky glitter for my taste, I know some people already said that the texture is kind of gritty. But it looks so pretty in the pan. *sigh* As a MAC addict, I just can't imagine skipping all MSFs, but I probably should and get another blush or MES instead.

edit: Piarpreet, thanx for the swatches, I didn't see them before I posted :D I still like Golden Gaze the most of all the MES.

Exactly my thoughts. Somebody needs to convince us that life will go on even if we don't buy the MSFs. One more week and we can try them out in person.

Christine posted a review of Crystal Pink. It's an absolute beauty - probably because the veining is quite thick, which makes it look like an artifact!

Ah, whatever, I'm gonna buy Pressed Amber.
girlhaha.gif
I was just wondering if it is similar to Sur from Mickey Contractor, because I'm still mad at myself for skipping it. I compared Karla's swatches of both, and PA seems to have a more rosey tone to it, which makes me want it even more now. I would still love to see comparison swatches to similar permanent powder blushes though, because I don't have any brown blush yet, so there might be a permanent one that I'll like even better.

I seem to remember that Christine said that it's similar to Play & Proper which is, in turn, similar to Sur, I think!

Thank you so much for the swatches. And like Liba said GG loks amazing.

I was wondering if you could do a better close up comparison of Dark Indulgence & Night Porter? I agree they do look very similar here. Thanks/

I wouldn't say it compares to MC Sur, which is more like VV Darkley my Dear, but I could be wrong. PA seems to be much more brown with a rosey undertone, whereas the Sur and DMD are more rosey with a brown undertone. Do you have DMD?
