The 179 might last a bit longer in the store because it is the most expensive one. Mind you, many stores have 20 or less products (brushes, MSF, MB, etc...) for each shade or design. E.g. my large f/s MAC store only had 20 MSF in each shade. I would look around in the smaller malls, which are more likely to have the brushes.

[/quote] Oh god what I would give for 20 of each item in store... Here in AUS I was once told each counter gets 5!!! And where I am from... We have 2 counters in the state!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've added Rose Quartz MSF to my collection. I noticed late last night that my ebay plus points (scheme sadly now finished) were available to spend, and I had quite a bit. I was therefore able to get RQ for just £3.41 of my own money, so I don't feel too guilty about it :) Even if I didn't have the points, this seller sells much of their MAC stuff for a little under retail price, with free shipping. I've bought from them before, and the goods I've received have been genuine,

Custom purchase. I have a friend in the US who buys me everything and ships it over to me. It ends up really cheap.
I know! The Melb MAC MA, some of them are really rude. I saw a guy who was just chatting up another guy and there were other girls who were wanting help:( Serves that guy right though!

I believe 20 is fairly standard for f/s stores, but as a lot of customers are making multiple purchases, supply might not last long after all.

I used FG on the inner lid, with smoked ruby in the outer corner, texture in the crease, and blanc type as a higlight. I love this combination, and it does make my blue eyes just "pop." FG wet is just amazing!

I caved and ended up ordering online (gulp!) a BU of SP Pearl and also MES Faux Gold. The majority of stores in my area are running low (or are out) on Pearl, so I figured I won't be able to chose my MSF anymore, but I also have a gut feeling that Pearl will be the next one gone from the website. After wearing it today, it was still pretty much flawless after 12h of wear. Too good to pass this opportunity. MAC never had MSF of such high quality (in my terms, that's low-glitter, smooth texture, natural color) that can be worn as an all over face. FG just sneaked into my basket as it is absolutely gorgeous for those with blue eyes (a true "must") and it will look great on green-eyed beaux and beauties too. Rose Quartz was not BU-worthy, IMO, as it is similar to other rosey MSF, and I am sure that MAC will always produce more rose-pink based MSF in the near future. It's my first time ever that I order a mineralize product online.

Let's hope for lots of burgundy veining and a decent-sized nipple.

I'm now officially done with SP, unless I come across any leftovers at a CCO.

So my final list is (was):

- all 4 brushes
- MES Faux Gold
- SP Rose Quartz x 1
- SP Pearl x 2
- SP Goldstone x 3
- MB Pressed Amber

What is the best base with these? I use either TFSI or NARS primer then usually Bare Canvas paint. I am open to any suggestions. I have SM, RF and Clarity.

If you buy one more, you should get QF. It looks stunning in the pan. When I swatched it, the fall-out was not bad at all. Maybe those you already purchased can give a better review, but it is a beautiful color.

Well, I've seen shopped and conquered today ;) I met the most fab MUA, he was lovely and very understanding, displaying everything they had for everything I asked for and letting me choose my own. Big thumbs up to that guy! I ended up with: Rare Find Jade's Fortune Smoked Ruby Goldstone Crystal Pink Feeling Flush Gem of Roses Prep & Prime Skin Refined Zone Rare Find was not an expected purchase but the MUA was saying how it makes the most unique taupey purpley smokey eye - one swatch and I was hooked. I'm glad he was so patient as I came away with exactly what I wanted. My JF has lovely veining, large veins of yellow, green, and blue so I can use them individually, SR with more red then black, Goldstone with a small corally nipple, and CP with a medium sploge with plenty of green and pink. Very happy indeed, plus GoR - Gorgeous! Thank you for the prompting ladies, and ESP you Urbansweetheart ;) Though I am done with SP now... With my first order and this spree my final total was over £250 which is around $400 - I need a self imposed ban me thinks!

I am reading the reviews for semi-precious and I feel like I have to have a bad eye or something??? I LOVE the brushes except the 179 buffer one-I just dont get how that one is so much more helpful than a 182 and why they had to make another brush number 179 perplexes me...lol (Those of you who also have the 179 body buffer might know what I mean...) Gem of roses ok. Musky Amethyst ok...

But the shadows and skinfinishes...OMG I am NOT a fan of them AT ALL. I was totally looking forward to having them in my arsenal after I tried them at a training class I went to a few months ago, and those were pigmented and PERFECT. But the ones I received in my shipment? They are ALREADY in the clearance bin! Honestly, I haven't been a big fan of the way they look since I saw the previews of them (I've never been into applying anything that looks like vomit to my face-I never even buy those mixed bronzers or color swirled shadows) but after trying them originally and seeing the awesome pigmentation I couldn't wait to order the whole lot. So can you imagine the disappointment when these duds arrived? I keep thinking maybe MAC made some formula changes after I tested the samples? I don't know... but the ones I received from my online order are either too chalky (i.e. mineral mode) or too glittery (i.e...quartz fusion, crystal pink) with very little pigmentation! Chalky is an understatement actually! I am hardly getting any pigment at all from them, and even on the darker ones that do give off better color (i.e. golden gaze, smoked ruby, blue sheen, dark indulgence) they're still a bit more sheer than what I tried a few months back. Do I think I received a bad shipment? Maybe...So I figured go see them in store. I actually tried them all while I was there to see if there was a difference and NO they were exactly the same. So far I have tried to scrape off a few layers then apply, I've applied them wet, dry, with no base, with different shadow bases, on different skin tones and no matter what I feel like whomp whomp :( Thumbs down.

I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS LIKE THIS ABOUT SEMI-PRECIOUS??? No disrespect to those of you who LOVE the collection but I'm sorry I'm not feeling the shadows or skinfinishes in this collection AT ALL.

How are you liking the charged water?
I haven't really tested it out yet. I just used it at night after cleansing my face. I've been guilty of skipping moisturizer at night. I think this may be good for a quick spritz before bed. I do want to try it out with my usual routine of makeup and such. I mostly use Studio Fix during the day but I have been starting to use the now discontinued Select Tint (tinted moisturizer) so I would like to see how it would work with both of these.

The MSFs are very sheer, which I absolutely love because they look natural when applied on the skin. There is very little coverage, which can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on what you are looking for in a product. I hope you still give your MES another try. Maybe scrap off the top layer to see if you find more veining?
