So glad to be keeping Mythical and Satin Taupe on the list. I'm on the fence about Moleskin, mostly because I've got UD's Naked, and I'm not sure how I'd wear Outre.

I'm sure Outre will look stunning on those with darker complexions.

I actually like Outre! And Moleskin is looking like it would be a nice crease color on me..I'm pleasantly surprised

I don't find any of the shadows are must-haves for me, because I already have so many similar ones but I think they're really nice colours. Satin Taupe is, to me, one of the shades that defines Mac. It's extremely versatile, fairly neutral, but still has an edge to it. I have a single plus I got it in a quad a little while ago and I'm glad for the backup.

On the fence about Oh, Oh, Oh. I like my lippies with more opaqueness, though I do love Gem of Roses. I'll probably get it anyway since I struck Lady Grey and the shadesticks off my list. Runaway Red and Rebel are definite yeses.

Secret Lover reminds me of the Fall version of FF's Summer Shower.

Oh, Oh, Oh looks so ugly in the tube, yet so pretty swatched. I love the shimmer is has

Agreed there. In the tube, it looks like something I cleared out of the litter pan this morning. It's more faded looking than I'd hoped, though. It's pretty, but I feel like I could get the same effect by applying Funbathing really lightly.

The only one of the colours that leaps out at me is Runaway Red (although I already have Rebel). Smoked Purple is a nice colour, but I know that the other mattes in that series (Sin, Charred Red, etc.) are very dry to work with. You can even see how dry it is on Christine's swatch of it in the tube.

Hey katred, maybe I'm wrong (and probably am), but didn't HG say that MAC would have better matte lipsticks coming out? Like a new formula and/or new consitincy compared to their old matte lipsticks that are, indeed, very dry and hard to work with?
PS: LMFAO about your saying Oh Oh Oh (in the tube) looked like something you cleared out of the pan this morning. Ha ha ha ha.

I kinda expected the Lady Grey Quad to lack in pigmentation cuz it looks sheer and light in the pan. Christine also reconfirmed it in her review. However, high pigmentation can be achieved if you keep layering it, which is why Temptalia's swatches look so pretty and pigmented.

I'm still on the fence with the quad. All the colors except All Races look so gorgeous. I guess I will have to see the quad in person. =)

I think you're right and I hold out hope that the new shades of matte lipstick (Prince Noir!) will have a better formula. In general, I've found the mattes they've come out with this year- Mehr, Yash, Candy Yum Yum- have been better than their previous matte formulas. The problem, I'm guessing, with Smoked Purple is that it already exists, so they're probably not changing anything for this collection.

What's worse is that this came out with a launch (Info: http://colorstorycollections.blogspot.com/2007/07/new-mac-pro-shades-july-2007.html) where all the matte shades were drier even than regular Mac mattes. I have a couple of those colours and love them dearly, but they're tricky to work with. I've swatched Smoked Purple, although I didn't buy it and it seemed to have the same issues as its brethren.

Many thanks katred!!! Yes. Here is hoping that Prince Noir is a newer formula like Candy Yum Yum and Mehr.

This collection is a total bust for me. After looking closely at the swatches and reading the reviews, there's nothing here for me. Instead of the Lady Grey quad, I'd rather get the Nars Delphes trio. I'm not crazy for the two lightest shades in this quad. The lipsticks and glosses definitely aren't hitting for me and as tempting as they are, the shadesticks aren't worth my time due to how dry they are. I really wish Mac had improved the formula b/c I really need a color like Cakeshop. Outre looks unappealing to me now and I don't wear those neutral colors often anyway. I'm still on the fence at another 226. Also, my last hope for hauling anything here is Carbonized eyeshadow. I hope it's awesome, but judging by the rest of this collection, it's looking less and less likely.

Strangely, nothing really calls out to me! I admit I was a tad curious about the Shade Sticks. Maybe it's because I just had a huge Inglot and Blogger's Obsession Haul :)
