MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

One of a Kind with either of those on top is just the sexiest color/texture combo so far this year from MAC. It took top spot over my previous, which was Krazy Kahuna over Bust Out (although that's a gorgeous one too).
For all-over Goldstone, I use the 179. For all-over Crystal Pink, I prefer applying it with the 189, and then buff it out with the 183. I like the finish I get with the latter brush combo for CP, as it gives me an almost glossy wet finish.

Nice! I love applying Goldstone all over with the 181 and then applying a little extra with a 188 where i want a little extra color.

Crystal Pink makes a particularly cool disco-robot look swept up the planes of the face with the kabuki brush from this collection - i use the synthetic to sweep it on and the natural side to buff a bit.

I'm thinking about a CP backup. :)

Okay, late to the party here and looking for dupes of GOR. Is Impressive a good dupe? (Sheen Supreme) What about Lustering or Fanfare? NARS Dolce Vita? I don't want to go broke trying to scrounge one up!

i would say fanfare is. I have both and can't really tell the difference. Fanfare is a lil bit darker but unnoticeable.

Well, now I understand its popularity. Fanfare is possibly my fave MAC lippy, but I like the Cremesheen finish better than any other, so I will just work on dupes of it rather than scrounging for a GOR

Just swatched NARS Dolce Vita and MAC GOM on my hand. DV is a bit browner than GOR.

I'm NW20 and CP looks surprisingly natural on me. I guess it enhances pink-based undertones w/o going overboard. It is definitely an underrated MSF, but I am so glad that I bought it. Haven't BU-ed yet, but maybe I should?! Lol.

For GS, I also spritz a little bit of Fix+ on the dark side of the 179 and then swipe over areas I want to highlight. This brings out the highlights w/o adding more color and it's very easy to do with the angled brush.

I haven't even played with my items yet, and you all make me want to get HOS and clarity, and I don't even remember what colors I bought.... I have played with my brushes though and I LOVE the 235 and 234.

NC15 here. CP is greyed-out enough to have a bit of a space age effect on my skin tone. Perhaps I just got one with lots of green in it? My tan's fading a bit now, so it'll be interesting to see where that goes with CP. It's certainly the most unusual MSF I own.

Yes, same here. It's a very unique color. I picked a CP with minimal green, but lots of baby pink in the nipple. Maybe that makes the difference?

I did a pink and green look today with Unsurpassable and Quartz Fusion. It was pretty awesome...and after i did it I remembered the green and pink Barbie looks. That was not my intention but it was what I ended up with.

My attempt at backing up GoR is still back ordered. Grrrrr.

Thanks!! I cried it all off this evening over RL BS but it was pretty while it lasted. GoR I am not stressing over too bad. I did not like it the first time I wore it. It was just blah but the last two times have rocked my socks. I hope I do but I will not loose sleep if I don't..
