exactly - this is so sad for me to see too because i have been on beauty sites for so many years and so many things have changed. personally that is why i actually enjoy reading some of the 'smaller' blogs because they have great reviews that are informative and even though not everybody owns a slr camera - there are still beautiful pictures! :)

I agree about the ratings and grades being highly subjective. I ended up eventually buying the WW quads although I was initially hesistant to do it because of the poor reviews. But I have not experienced the chalkiness with most MAC e/s and I will never again let that deter me from buying a quad I want. I do like that C actually swatches the products on the lips but KS has the best swatches IMHO. I like how she puts them up side by side so they can be compared. And minimal comments, let the colors do the talking.

Enough about bloggers, however, I am wondering what Fall collection is going to be the show stopper (and I don't mean for MAC to repromote that one again). I guess I am in the minority who loved FF. I personally think it will be tough to top VV. I can leave off the glitter and ice one, that is going to be glitter bomb city if last years Champale is any indication. (although I still treasure IGNK).

We need some more paints, PP and fluidlines or better yet, how about some more Pearlglides? I love those babies.

Now that we are heading into September. When do you ladies & gents think we will finally find out about the later upcoming collections? Also, do you think we will finally find out the color story & items for the Glitter & Ice & Gareth Pugh collections? I'm starting to get impatient again. It's not like I haven't spent enought money on MAC already, but.... I need to make a list, check it twice, find out if I've been naughty or nice to buy myself even more stuff.

I love Karlas swatches! Defo want to see more paint pots, fluid lines and pearlglides!

I will sneak-peek Posh Paradise this week, and hopefully I can also get some more G&I info (although am not so keen on it for now - this might changer though).

Posh Paradise is certainly the collection I'm looking forward to the most (other than Gareth Pugh, which I'm bracing myself for not being as cool as I'm hoping it will be).

I still think G&I will probably be nicer than expected. 'Might be a little garish, with a touch of transvestite makeup mixed in, but Johnny Weir certainly has a pretty decent sense of personal style, so here's hoping he's representing this collection from the high fashion perspective, rather than the camp end of the spectrum.

Fingers crossed that it won't get too tacky. While tacky can be fun, it has a limited shelf-life in my books.

My local counter at The Bay has "the book" too, and I was told how many beautiful colours were coming, but they wouldn't let me have a peek because not everyone at the counter has seen the collection information yet. Hopefully we'll get more information on the upcoming collections soon.
