Early Buzz Regarding MAC Collections/Products Coming in 2011 - Discussion

I think Gareth Pugh will be THE collection. But it could never be as cool as our collective Specktra imaginations could envision it to be. And sorry to disagree liba, but I think I prefer more camp end of the spectrum. But we may already be getting that with the Fall Color collex if the promo pix are any indication. Whatever, whatever, I am ready for fall colors. SO tired of pastels and brights. Bring on the muted colors, the greys, the neutrals, the gold and the violets. And lets see some vampy lips.

Tx liba!!! That magenta lipstick looks AMAZING!!! I hope it's a new color & not a re-promote. I can't make out too much of the make-up from the pictures. It does look very sutle except for the dramatic black eyeliner which I love.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if any of these shots are used, it'll be the one with the rhinestone mustache - just because it'd be yet another shit storm to use one with fur (even if Johnny loves his fur) and the naked one with the handbag is pretty silly (even though the makeup work in it looks great).

They're probably test shots done with MAC people when they were planning out the campaign. That stuff gets done a lawwwwwwng time in advance. Totally up in the air if they're going to be used in the final collection or not, but I still think the rhinestone mustache is where it's at!

i work on commission so it changes each month. i get a basic wage and then i get a percentage of my stores takings on top of that. so if my store does well - i do well. it sucks sometimes not knowing how much i am going to get. plus they never give us pay slips on time so i just have to wait until the day and check my bank. today though i have been paid! woo hoo!

that sounds quite frustrating!
although i know what amount to expect each paycheque, my office is a little bit in the dark ages, and they still give us actual cheques on payday....which then takes another week to be 'available' once it's deposited....
